Dolby Atmos as an upgrade would be fantastic compard to my current aging system. The optimized, dynamic rendering capabilites are a substantial improvement in sound quality and would make home theater a much more immersive, lifelike, dynamic experience.

Looks like the JVC model I listed doesn't have an adjustable iris for controlling the brightness level. Users in AVS forum have said that the "A" model is very bright due to this. Black levels not good. The "N" model has the technology, but of course at a much higher price. I checked...

I thought I had my DLP search narrowed down to these 2, but after seeing them at CC I was shocked how terrible they looked compared to the lesser brand LCD's I saw--Polaroid ect. The sales associate let me play with the settings for the 46" version, but I couldn't get it to look any brighter...

hehe. I appreciate your thoughts, but that is not what I am talking about. This noise is different than the usual high frequency noise one hears when a TV is on. I hear this sound as well with most TV's, but that doesn't bother me. Again, the noise I'm describing is not altered by a mere change...

This sound is not made all the time though. I can stop the sound for a time simply by slightly tilting back the top of the TV. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge to get it to stop. Head positioning isn't a factor in hearing this sound. Thanks----Scott

(27FS100) This high frequency sound occurs at random and is extremely annoying. I could have the TV on for hours without making the noise. Sometimes it starts 10 minutes after the TV has been on. Switching channels temporarily(seconds)stops the problem. Selecting video mode eliminates the noise...

The song is played during the end credits. I didn't realize it was Japanese until the vocals began later in the song. "Urami-Bushi" by Meiko Kaji. Does Meiko Kaji(KAJI Meiko) have a separate CD? I'd love to have an entire CD authored by this person/band. Thanks----Scott

I have a Sony NS725P DVD player and a Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-27FS100 (not HD). When watching DVD's I notice that the top edge of the picture (widescreen mode, not full screen)is flickering (looks to be around 60 Hz) which is really annoying. Will upgrading to a higher quality DVD...

I need a center channel speaker to match my Infinity Alphas and Denon 3803. My Aiwa bookshelf(CX-NA50)stereo speaker seems to be doing ok for a center, but I'm sure dedicated center speakers sound better. Can someone help me decide on these 3 speakers or something else in their price range...

I have the treble set to 4dB right now. This receiver sounds so much better I may eventually lower it to 2 or 0 dB. Thanks again

Just received my 3803 today and it IS dead quiet. With the treble turned to the max I have to put my ear on the tweeter to hear a (very) faint hiss. The sound quality is much better too. It's kind of annoying I have to use my TV to use the setup functions, but I'm very satisfied. Thanks all

Thanks all. I've been trying to recondition my ears to a lower treble setting, but the hissing is still evident from over a foot away with the treble at 0 db. I've also noticed my CD's don't sound quite right as well (non hissing related). Some kind of distortion or inaccuracies... I'll give...
