Don't even think about an uncut U.S. release. Unless Miramax splits with Disney. They can't release the unrated/NC-17 version. So I will keep my eyes out for the Japanese dvd release if an uncut R1 release is not available.

I believe a 5.1 would add another dimension to the film specially with the storm approaching in the first e.t.c, I know the Star Trek movies sound Great and if there have the same people working on them, why not add them and also add the mono track for the people who do not have a Home Theater...
