I was planning to run speaker cable under the floorboards, and to make it a little easier, I was going to use a cable tie to keep them together. Its the reason I asked. Would it be better to just leave them a little distance apart?

Yeah cheers, thats what I thought. Its a little more complicated for me though, because I live in the UK, so I need to find a player and TV which support PAL progressive scan. I think Ive got a few products in mind though.
