The replacement program has been announced.
I hope in the future HTF will be more pro-active in matters such as this.
This is not the first time that HTF has been dismissive and apathetic about problems with Blu-rays that are reported on this site.
Unfortunately, yes.
Even those that own and operate websites like this don't care. They are the ones who should be championing the format and helping to hold studios accountable for defective or error ridden discs. But instead say "It's only a couple seconds..."
This is a mistake, plain and simple. The first time that shot appears, Sulu had plotted a course that avoids the neutral zone, which he does and that is what is displayed on the forward view screen.
Then Saavik requests the info on the Kobayashi Maru which then appears on the screen. Cut away...
Here are some examples of some "minor issues" that have been fixed, and of course posters poo pooed some of them as well when they were brought to light:
Framing error in Pirates of the Caribbean - posters were slamming the guy who reported it as no big deal and that they didn't notice anything...
I don't think I'll ever understand why people complain about slip covers or a lack of slip covers, poor artwork, no artwork on the disc itself, eco packs vs standard cases, lack of special features or not enough special features, etc, etc, etc.
But when there is a legitimate problem with the...
Hi Everyone,
I purchased Criterion's The Fisher King on Blu-ray. I also own the Image Blu-ray.
There is a shot at 1:14:06 that has black on the right edge of the frame from top to bottom. This appears to have been captured in camera on the negative.
On the Image Blu-ray you can see that the...

I just finished watching the Alliance Steelbook release of From Dusk Till Dawn (released Nov. 8, 2011) and there is an audio dropout that lasts one second at 1:22:47 when Jacob is getting bitten by Sex Machine.
Oppo...
Then it probably should have been left as it was on the Collector's Edition. The extra second is inconsequential and it introduces the frame jump. Why would anyone want that in the film?
Hi Robert, Can you confirm whether or not the Blu-ray exhibits these two issues that were introduced on the Double Secret Probation DVD. Just before Niedermayer is hit in the helmet with a golf ball while on the horse, the line is "Now drop and give me twenty!" The word "Now" is clipped to the...
CSR also knew about it when I spoke to them. They sent me the forms to get a different title to make up for having to buy Pinnochio twice. Which isn't the solution I was looking for. I paid $15 for Pinnochio the first time and $32 the second time. I just ended up swapping discs and...
I just purchased a copy of Pinocchio on Blu-ray at my local Wal-Mart in Marietta, GA. It was the last copy they had in the store. It is the corrected version.
I had the same problem with The Matrix set. Secondary audio was off and did not get TRUE HD to display when I selected it. Upgrading Panny BD30 firmware to latest version solved the problem.
I just called Warner at 1-800-553-6937. The woman that answered was very nice. I told her about the Matrix Revolutions Blu-Ray glitch and the approximate time in the movie that it occurs. As far as she knew, I was the first to report this. I made sure to tell her that this is a widely...
I have it on my hard drive from HDNet and it's in the proper 2.35 aspect ratio.
HDNet always presents movies in their original aspect ratio. Are you sure it wasn't UHD. They always alter aspect ratios, and add commercials sometimes too.
HDNet even showed The Worlds Fastest Indian in it's...
I see this on my copy as well, but it is not nearly as bad as those screen captures. I have the Panasonic BD30. Just a few bad pixels that lasts about 3 to 5 frames. I'll have to see if it's like this on the HD-DVD. I'll report back later on that.
