Ha ha ha... that is why i am asking people with first hand expirience about what cable to buy and not the dealer :) Heard that MIT Terminator 2 is good for the 803's Hmm... what else?
Nope. The aurums are still being ordered and I will most likely pay in US dollars when i buy them from China. I have Rotel separates for my main set and they wont be accurate since the amp is 300+ watts - i think 1090.
I am from the Philippines and the dealers wont allow us to home audition mid0fi stuff :frowning: thats why i am asking ha ha ha.. or else i always wear my condom before the actual action ;)
Wow! Thanks for all your inputs. Actually I am gettng Aurum Cantus speakers from China. I read that they work better with tubes so I will be using an integrated tube amp for stereo listening. However, I will still be using the same speakers for HT or multichannel audio so i presume that the...
Hi... wondering what is warmest sounding mid-price receiver (closest to tube sound if that is even possible) for somewhat bright sounding speakers with ribbon tweeters. Denon Harman Onkyo Rotel Yamaha Thanks in advance for your suggestions
Common brands here are JBL, Energy, PSB, B&W, velodyne, Paradigm (but very expensive) hmm... what else. M&K but also expensive Mourdant Strout (if i spelled it right). Dai-ichi.
Greetings... Care to recommend a budget sub for a second HT system $500 and below preferably. So far I am considering JBL, Energy and PSB. :) Better is musical
am planning to start a second set based on tubes. would like to ask your opinion on what speakers would be good. My budget is around $800. If you can suggest a good tube integrated amp. that would be nice too. total budget for my second tube system is $2,000
Am planning to get a speaker set for HT use only (i.e. movies) any suggestions on a good set of JBL's for this job? Should be able to fill a room 22x20x8' and hopfully wall mountable or bookshelf. Also remember affordable since I might spend all of my money on the stereo speakers - SONUS hahaha
Last week I saw some sonus faber speakers on display and decided to give them a listen. The sonus faber cermona auditor simply blew me away and now I am one confused soul :D having almost decided on the 804's. The mids of the auditor was AMAZING. What clarity! Only downside is the bass. Well...
I was almost set to buy Paradigm 100 v.3 after auditioning them (well I auditioned 60’s and just assumed that the 100s will be better) last week but auditioned some B&W 804’s speakers today and now I am CONFUSED! The B&W 804’s sounded really good. Clear and smooth but was powered by an 80...
#%@#*^&$^! ha ha ha - just learned that there are no adcom, outlaw or parasound dealers here! Won't risk getting one without product support. There goes my choices! Whats left is denon, sunfire, rotel, bryston, yamaha, harman kardon and pioneer.
I would love to get a used equipment but the problem is i reside in asia so its just not possible since the used market does not exist here :frowning: Andrew - i guess you are right. The rotel combo does appear good value for moeny and looks good too. My only discomfort is with its power -...
Thanks for your inputs. Now I am 99% sure to get separates... and here is the next questions hahaha Adcom vs. Rotel vs. Outlaw - any other brands you guys would recommend?
Just wondering which system would produce the better results: An affordable separate system like Rotel 1066 + RMB 1075 (120 watts) – approx $2500 (what other brands/models would fall under this price range for separates?) Or a high end receiver like Sunfire Ultimate Receiver, Denon 5803...
