but for the towers to get the full sound I need to disable the sub...so LFE goes to towers, if i enble sub, i can't get lfe to ti's without going rca and daisy chaining them. right?
Yes thats how i have it wired this time. I notice the mid-bass drivers get much more use that way, they hardly received signal when it was split. And they do sound better. It just didn't make sence, i figured the more wire conections the better, hence bi amping etc. It's just kinda sad cus...
MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!! Get the new towers monday lettign them stretch their legs Learned a couple things For 1) I had the bass too high in the CSII Settings, for 2), I think i had them miss wired, though not sure it maters... I had them wired to the 2 middle posts enstead of top and 3rd...
How can you wire an rca out of phase it's a push in conenctor on both ends..... One speaker was doign ti a lot mor ethen the other, origianlly i was just going to replace the one, but since it was sugested to exchange the pair, going with it. I just hope I'm not expecting too much for...
No the problem is not LACK of bass in general, it's lack of bass before the speaker freaks out and distorts and sounds like it's about to die. Sides their def wired in phase but thanks :)
Ok return lables on the way, couldn't order a replacement, not enough left on the card right now, so I'll be speakerless for a little bit but it's ok As to needing a new keyboard....*shrugs* whatever, not the focus of the thread
Still the first pair, i didn't exchange them yet becasue i wanted to make sure it wasn't the amp or a miss wire config or a wrong setting. Now I plan on getting them exchanged. I do not think it's the amp because the same thing doesn't happen with the Sony sub. I do not think i cna...
Here is a good example, Iron Maiden - Infinate Dreams Playign in stereo mode with the sub active and RCA (so the sub in input control has affect) at moderate output (-20dB) i got this grating sound, i need to record it for ya, i had the input to about 5 oclock though so the sound matched...
I wanted to experiment with the advice in this thread before formily requesting an exhchange. They (hifi) replied to my email by asking me to call the 800 number which I have yet to do. WHat was the audio source/material you were using? Full range music like Tom Petty, or deep bass music like...
I've considered that config and was leaning tword sit untill people here in the thread started celebrated the power of the T500's now I'm not sure which is the better way to go. Being past my 45 days not sure how open my options are either The MC500's aren't that expensive maybe I'll sue...
The internal amps on the 500's are 300 watts so the built in speakers should have been built to handle atleast that in my view. The subwoofer I have has a phase control. Thats kind of the problem i was having, the 500's were not blowing away the sub 200watt subwoofer individually let...
Well they are behaving better at moderate levals, i need to pump it up and make sure they are ok at upper levals. It sound sliek they should be strogn enough to take refrence levals and NOT sound bad or be damaged by playing at those levals. I'll do some testing and get back to you. It's...
I'll try all of that. The manual for the 500's stated it should be set to large even if using the sub in as well, but i''ll play with it. If i set them small wont that cancle out the efectivness of the midbass driver? I was experiencing trouble even before I was using the Sony, and it...
yes brand new TI-500's yes jumpers are in place, if i activate the sub out on the amp the TI's are not getting the same strength of signal even when set to large and sub out is set to mixed. the part you couldn't understand due to typo's was i wasn;t stressing the speakers to refrence...
Ok so whats this mean..... I bybassed the sub input, disconected the RCA abnd just feeding them +/- speaker wire bridged, turned the sub off in the amp and just have the L/R/ set large these thigns are beign phenominal, i have the bass reflex cranked, didn;t stress them too much but sent to...
Yes Hifi.com as i have a line of credit with them, specifically for this purches, been eyeballing them for a long time. least i'm not crazy :) once i get the new pair I think i'm going to need soem help makign sure their hooked up properly, so i can be sure i'm not causing a problem...
they ar epluged into an outlet strip, not a monster power center or anything just a stndard ac outlet strip. the sub cable is a crap RCA i should upgrade that, the speaker wire is 14 gauge though
I figured somthing had to be wrong i mean geez. But even the oen that "works" seems to not be happy at upper levals on the bass.... Espeiclaly when using it's own amp you'd figure it'd blow the fuse before damaging the voice coil. These are not ported right? i think i unpacked them...
I actually just fired off an email to CSW detailing some of that. excerpts: I think one of the speakers may be damaged. After using them casually since I've had them, I've noticed a deterioration in one of the main speakers a TI-500 Tower, the left subwoofer seems to be damaged. At the...
That was helpfull :) I know from the past atleast a few users ehre have some.... I definatly think one of them has a problem, on the exact samne settings, the left will give an unplesent sound, sound sliek the voice coil might have an isue whiel the right is ok....
you're using those for all 5 speakers not just the surrounds? I take it budget is a strong point? if you can at all swing a multipole design and a dedicated wide dispersion center i'd try to go that rought, but iofi the $250 for the 5 is yoru max they shoudl work adiquatly for you. The cubes...
I just recently purchased a complete Cambridge Soundworks surround system, centered on a Marantz SR9300 receiver and the TI500 towers. I'm very pleased with the MC500 center channel and all 4 SR300's surrounds. Even the TI500 towers are superb in the highs and mids. Only gripe I have is the...
VHS is goign away....I think DVR's liek Tivo, and th eliek will get mreo market share and use then dvd recorders, simpyl becasue fo no media and advanced dumb mans programign and recording. also for quaility and tiem of recording, it's better for tiem shifting and has benefits for live TV. VHS...
Bestbuy screwed me on my bonus disc, pre-ordered from bestbuy.com nwo gettign the run around, goign to try to go there to the store tomorow and complain. But if quantities were so limited doens;t sound like I'll have much luck......
The brothers don't do on camera interviews, never have, you'll catch bits fo them in documentaries thats about it, and the game kicked ass what are you talkign about? Anyway yeah the extras disk is pretty disapointing, nto even dual layer....Must be saving the really really good stuff for the...
The dvd has the scart connector the tv has both componant input and a 5 rca jack RGB area, and suports both rba with sinc on g as well as seperate v/h sync it will acept either. The current cable is a compnant plus audio from scart, so 3 chanals for video, whatever they are, red blue and...
I have the reverse trbl, dvd has scart tv has both rgb and componant, the cabel it game me is scart to rgb...problem is it's too short, i need somthing 2 meters or longer and i'm not spendign $100 for a cable :-) Any sugestions? been searching the forums, the web, the a/v links on the htf...
the divx 3.11 playback is flawless so far, both sbc encoded, fast, and slow content. Too bad it doens;t do advanced divx 4/5 featurres, like qpel, and it definatly hates b-frames. but it suports both mp3 and ac3 interleaved audio. the dang SCART c able is too short though, these...
