OK, Eric, "morons" may have been a bad choice of words in this ultra-PC world. First, I don't speak for anyone but myself. Second, my opinions have nothing to do with where I work. If I worked at the local fast food joint, I'd still know infeasible projects when I see them. You should be...
As a Shuttle rendezvous officer, I know more than anyone should about orbital mechanics. Andrew, it's good to see you eloquently explain the stuff I've been screaming to morons for a while now. Thanks for being smart. :) BTW, the offer to sit in the MCC with me sometime still stands.
What Andy said. I'm slightly more optimistic, but not by much. :) And FYI, December 18th was temporarily picked for a reason that has nothing to do with Return to Flight.
Yup, I agree with Craig (a fellow League City resident). Lacking the resources to build a base or mine the minerals there in a cost-effective manner, this'll be nothing more than a dog and pony show. Still, I hope they do it.
My favorites are PocketPC Thoughts and PocketPC Passion. Brighthand is pretty good, too. For freeware, check out PocketPCsoft.net and click on Freeware. That's pretty much the most comprehensive list you'll find. And, of course, for all PocketPC software in general, Handango has absolutely...
FYI, if any of you are Enterprise fans, you may want to have your TiVos record this week's episode, titled "First Flight." There are supposed to be some flashbacks of when Captain Archer was in the testing phase of the NX program and would frequent a bar similar to the Happy Bottom Riding Club...
Dude, relax. Jane isn't going to off herself. If she was going to, she would have by now. What you're experiencing is the normal f*cked up stuff that guys go through when they're young. As you get older and go through a bunch of women (and have them go through you), you'll realize that there are...
Yeah, I make "mood" CDs. I usually have the heavy stuff on for the ride home, when I'm in the mood to shoot people, and the relaxing stuff for Sunday afternoons, etc. Going from Disturbed to Luther Vandross is not good for the psyche. :)
And, to jab at Andy a little, not all front room controllers have MER support. Those of us in flight dynamics don't, since we don't actually own any systems. We use a lot of them, like the rendezvous radar and the star trackers, but they're owned by other controllers. So I'm on my own out there...
