I caught the "not-really-the-pilot" pilot Bushwacked when it first was broadcast, but wasn't really charmed by it. At that time I was still childless, and Friday nights were rarely spent at home, so I never was able to revisit it until last year when I Netflixed the first disc. I promptly went...
I was looking for info on Serenity DVD sales the other day (hoping that DVD sales may help in greenlighting more Firefly/Serenity - yes, I know it's wishful thinking!) and came across this, which is a fan made documentary that will be released to DVD soon. The interview list looks pretty...

Black Flag - In addition to Damaged, The First Four Years is another great album. It combines several of the early 7" releases, in addition to a couple songs off compilation albums. My personal favorite Flag album is My War. 7 Seconds - The Crew & Walk Together, Rock Together. Septic...

Thanks for all the advice. I feel that I can make a more informed decision now. Matt, what tipped it off as a bootleg? Was the quality poor? I'm afraid I probably wouldn't be able to tell.
Thanks again for the reply, Peter. I understand you prefer the Tartan release, but I am also curious if anyone has any information on the version I have linked above.
I have a Sony NS715p, and am reasonably sure it is unable to play PAL discs. As I've now hit 15 posts (woo hoo, only took me a year :) ) here is the link to the disc I am referring to.
Thank you for the quick reply, Peter. I should have noted that I am in the US (I have now updated my profile to reflect this) and my player is unable to play PAL discs. Is the version I referenced above a satisfactory NTSC version?
I know this has been covered before, and I have read a lengthy thread devoted to this topic. However, I am still left a bit confused so please bear with me. I do not have a region free player, so I am seeking a region 0 version of Battle Royale. I am unable to post URL's yet, so I am wondering...
Actually, Wayne, I was in the store tonight to pick up Matrix Revolutions and stopped by the Athenas to check things out. Sure enough, no mention of the sale price.
The band was Disaster Area. Here's an excerpt....funny stuff! "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy notes that Disaster Area, a plutonium rock band from the Gagrakacka Mind Zones, are generally held to be not only the loudest rock band in the Galaxy, but in fact the loudest noise of any kind...
Did you notice in the preview for next week they show a view from the security camera behind Jack in the room where he smoked Nina. It looks like his body was between the camera and her hand that was reaching for the gun. Wonder how he is going to explain his way out of this one..
I was in a similar situation to you. I had purchased a Kenwood HTB-505 with the VR-606 receiver. It sounded good, for a while, and then I started to hear the shortcomings (the boomy, one-note sub, in particular). I added a Hsu VTF-2 sub earlier this year and it was a tremendous improvement...
NCH tone generator might be what you are looking for. The program can be set to output to a wave file if you wish to burn the tones to a CD or DVD. Very useful. But... since I can't post links yet, you will need to type it in manually. Sorry! www[dot]nch[dot]com[dot]au/tonegen
I had a Hitachi 51UWX20B delivered about a month ago and just love it. I am using it with a Sony NS715P running through component in on the TV, progressive on. I calibrated with S&V Home Theater Tune-Up and have the settings as follows: Contrast 33 Brightness 51 Color 46 Sharpness 40 Tint...
