This early in ownership I'd just exchange it. I wouldn't try to have it serviced. An exchange shouldn't be a problem.

Columbia House for the majority...Can't believe I'm the first one to mention Columbia House. For stuff Columbia House doesn't carry it's really whoever is cheapest. I buy online mostly. Usually Amazon or Deep Discount DVD. I'll hit either Best Buy or Walmart for certain sale prices.

$37.49 at Towerrecords I ordered one last week and got it in 2 days.

Picture quality wise, it's a step up from the Denon 910 and 1200. $305 is more than a new one cost when they were in production, but with the alternatives now I don't think it's bad.

I didn't bother trying the Pioneer but I've had the Denon 2200 a little over a week and it is great so far. I chose the Denon more for picture quality and deinterlacing ability. It's hooked up to a Hitachi 51S700 RPTV and a Harman Kardon AVR 325.
