FYI, the next MyFI shipment is scheduled for 12/29, check your alert email addy often that day, or simply visit the store site. If its orderable, you WILL get one.
This bundle will NOT work with a BMW CD Changer, But when installed, you can use either of these two PIONEER chnagers with the system: CDX-P676, CDX-P680
Not for Sirius, but here's a solution for XM. It will not give you artist/song title read outs (Its simply not possible on NON-Satellite Ready radios), but there will be nothing else installed on your dash. All components are hidden from view. http://store.myradiostore.com/bmwxmbundle.html
Sorry... been so busy lately with this unpredictable mess! The server crashed so bad that our host had to replace the whole box! We'll be back up overnight into wednesday. Sorry!
Chris, If you get the Roady, you can get the whole setup for car AND home including a wireless FM Modulator for the car for about $200 as part of a bundle at myradiostore.com or some other retailers if you take a good look around. There are no contracts with XM. Who told you there were? Its...
I felt this forum was the most appropriate for this review. Repost from XM411.com: INTRODUCTION: A few months ago last year while going over the latest XM news and developments as I normally do each day, I recall seeing a short press release note about a company called Netstreams. It said...
DaveF, definately check out the ROCK channels for the stuff you are looking for. Also, if you go to xm411.com there is a link under the PROGRAMMING & SPECIAL EVENTS forum that allows you to search the database of XM's music library (played in the last 6 months) that will giive you a better ide...
Site admin/mods: please get rid of this immediately if its not appropriate here. There is a makeshift home kit available for Roady at myradiostore.com A "real" home kit should be out for Roady from Delphi in the coming months. No specific date is available yet. The "real" home kit will...
I will concede that the DAC in the SKYFI is pretty weak. The Roady and Commander have a much better one. The Optical Out is mostly for the home, but some people have already been interested in it for their vehicles. The sound quality in a car really cannot be judged as most vehicles have so...
There are ways you can get anoptical output from your XM receiver. That modification puts to rest any sound quality doubts you may have as to XM not being as good as Sirius - which is a subjective thing for the most part.
FYI, we just put together an XM "walkman" kit so now you can trully take your XM anywhere. More compact than the boombox, and you don't need to carry it in your hands. http://store.yahoo.com/xmfanstore/skwkit.html and more pix here: http://www.xmfan.com/viewtopic.php?t=3798
At our store you get the receiver for $119 if you input coupon code TENOFFSKYFI at check out, and if you put the reciver into your shopping cart, you get the car and home kits for only $59!
Congrats on becoming addicted... This is a good addiction BTW!!! As for the special deal, its still going on! So come and get XM. Also, if you guys need some accessories, like more cradles or the boombox, we have those at our new store at www.xmfanstore.com You can get the boombox for...
No - no Howard on XM. They do have an "extreme radio" channel which is all shock jocks all day. The thing about show like Howard, Rush, and whoever else is syndicated is that those peopel are not about to give up the MILLION dollar syndication contracts for a smaller fee from XM. believe...
No, XM uses a completely different set of frequencies to transmit its signal (around 2.3 Ghz, as opposed to around 12.5Ghz for Sat. TV). Also XM has the most poserful commercial satellites constructed to date pumping out about 3,000 Watts each. Rain fade is definately a non-issue with XM.
Although there is song repetition on XM (name any "radio" type service that does not have any), it is no where near what is would be on FM. And for that matter, I know the people who work at XM personally, and one of the rules is that EVERY MINUTE of EVERY DAY that is programmed is completely...
The Skyfi can be hooked into an existing car system in 3 main ways: 1. FM modulator - about as good as your BEST FM braodcast 2. Cassette Adapter - limited only by your cassette decks audio characteristics 3. Hardwirs (aux inputs or other apapter) - best quality (close to CD) These are...
We have a deal on our site for you to get the top of the line XM hardware (delphi skyfi) for $100. If thats not cheap enough for you to try it, then I don't know what is. You mentioned Clear Channel, and I reiterate, although CC owns a 10% stake in Xm they DO NOT in any way controla ANY of...
Couple things: The antennas are worthless paper weights once the coax cable is cut. The signal is "ery delicate" that travels through the tiny cables and it is damn near impossible to repair one of these XM coax antenna cables so that it will work again. I live in NYC and have antennas...
