I just finished building my MTM towers using the Stryke sa071 and sa-tw1 drivers.. have a look at them here. There are some large pics so 56k beware. Total cost for drivers and crossover = $95.

I made a circle jig out of 1/4" plexi. Basically I just cut the plexi to size and drilled holes to mount it to the base of my router. Then I drilled a hole for the bit to clear through, and now whenever I need to make a new size circle I just drill a new pivot hole in the jig. For the 15" hole...

I glued first and then used my circle jig to cut out the recess first and then the cutout. I doubt you could find a rabbet bit big enough to do the recess, at least at reasonable cost.

would you happen to have the original box design for this speaker? I'm thinking of building a set but the page on audioreview doesn't show any details on the enclosure. Your's look great but I'm not sure if I can handle cutting out all of those circles!

Thanks for the compliments! I've never really owned a sub before so I guess I'm a little shocked at the amount of bass it puts out. I'll probably get used to it eventually.. :D

For cutting big sheets of mdf (4'x8'), I think the best thing to do is have them sectioned off at the lumber yard on their panel saw. Trying to maneuver a 4x8 sheeet of mdf onto ANY table saw seems a little unsafe to me, unless you have a very large fence and several support tables to increase...

The first thing I would buy would be a table saw. If you don't have much space or budget for it, just buy the cheapest bench-mount one you can find. It will save you tons of time setting up your straitedge and since mdf is easy to cut, you'll be able to get away with a cheaper, less powerful...

where can I find the polyfill at walmart? is there a specific name/band to look for? thanks for the help.

did you spray or line the inside of the box with any kind of sound deadening material? I have my sealed tempest box almost fully assembled and haven't been able to find much info on this. Some people seem to just stuff it with the polyfill and others I have seen use the sound deadener as well...

I also saw Without Limits, and Inventing the Abbotts... great movies IMO. They seem to be adding new movies each week, and you'll most likely have to dig for the good ones.
