I got my Denon 3803 from Etronics.com (very good vendor, btw) for about $900. I can tell you only a little bit about it since I bought it just shy of 2 months ago. The receiver does a pretty good job for HT and acceptable for music, but maybe I just don't have the right speakers to really milk...

Try the Denon 3803. It has speaker outputs for simultaneous 2-Zone playback. You can either use them for Surround Back in HT or to listen to another source like radio in a different area (like your kitchen).
