Question about Samsung TV service menu

Hi, To access the service menu you have to turn off your set, then on your remote push the MUTE button followed by number keys 1, 8, 2 and then POWER. If you do this right you should be in the Service Menu, from there you can adjust all kinds of settings, if you can figure out what they...

Question about Samsung TV service menu

Does anynone have any information on what the service menu abbreviations mean and, more importantly, what they do on a Samsung TSL3293HF TV? I'm asking because I need to correct some geometry and focus problems on my display, and when I fiddle with some of the controls they don't seem to do...

    Denon 4803 & Suggestions

Dave, Thanks for the info on the 3803 fix. Congrats on your purchase! We got a good deal didn't we? :D I've really enjoyed the receiver for the main purpose I got it (Home Theater) and would hate to give it a bad rep. Hopefully we'll be able to send in our units for the upconversion fix...

    Denon 4803 & Suggestions

I got my Denon 3803 from Etronics.com (very good vendor, btw) for about $900. I can tell you only a little bit about it since I bought it just shy of 2 months ago. The receiver does a pretty good job for HT and acceptable for music, but maybe I just don't have the right speakers to really milk...

    Receiver contemplation

Jason, let me know how you like the 3803 (assuming you decided to go with it). I own a 3803 and I like it but I have a few gripes, one of which is extremely annoying. When I use video upconversion (S-Video mostly-Directv, PS2) I notice some faint red and blue horizontal bars across the screen...

Best Set of Speakers for $500-$600

Check out Ebay for unbeatable prices on Entra .5 HTS systems. I got mine for $589 + S&H and it arrived within 5 days. They're listed at Crutchfield for over $800. I paired'em up with a Denon 3803 and got a nice sounding setup. My only gripe: the sub seems a little underpowered, but then again it...

How to get A/B speaker setup in HT receiver? (newbie)

Try the Denon 3803. It has speaker outputs for simultaneous 2-Zone playback. You can either use them for Surround Back in HT or to listen to another source like radio in a different area (like your kitchen).

    Help w/ Denon

Make sure the DVD player is correctly configured to audio output STREAM/PCM (that way you'll get both DD and DTS)otherwise you could be getting only DTS. On the 3803 Setup make sure the Auto Surround Mode is set to ON. Finally push the button that says INPUT-MODE on the remote until AUTO is...

Denon 3802 Owners - Which audio mode works best?

I own a Denon 3803 and I've been generally satisfied with it. It produces very nice sound from all the channels and you can't beat the many DTS and DD modes it provides. My only complaints: 1.- No front A/V inputs (on a $1200 unit?!) 2.- OSD doesn't work in progressive mode (pain to switch...
