I have all the Hitchcocks already and was really disappointed I would be missing out on the AFI tribute since I have a bad copy on tape- turns I'm not missing out on it after all-glad I didn't decide to buy it for that reason.
I'm seeing the Myth later in the week. Jackie Chan playing two roles should be interesting. Here is a list of the other movies I'm seeing this week: Mrs Henderson Presents L'Enfer Capote History of Violence Elizabethtown Little Fish The Quiet Sorry, Haters Corpse Bride North Country...
I'm going. Got a Day Pass like I did last year. 25 Movies in one week. Tomorrow The program book becomes available and it will be time to pick which to see. So hard as there over 300 to choose from.
I think zip's home base is Ottawa, but I think they have reported on their web site they have reduced time it takes to ship. Anyone living far away I would suggest using their free trail to test it out. I think I have been a member for about 6 months and have received about 3 or 4 damaged...
I love Zip.ca I am a member- you get 4 titles at a time and when you send one back another is mailed. For $24.95 a month. They have probably every title you can think of as well, including all TV series. Norm
Some people just can't be converted. I've tried for years to convince my wife widescreen is better, but she doesn't seem to care that part of the image is cut off-she wants all the TV screen filled. I went as far as setting up two TVs and watching each version of Star Wars side by side at the...
The following was in an interview on AICN with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens:

In Canada, we have a used CD/DVD store called The Beat Goes On, where you can have a wish list on their web site, and if it comes in to any of their stores, they will let you know. If you want it they will ship it to the store of your choice. Great service. I've never had any problems with used...
This is my wife's favorite movie, and she is hard of hearing. I was very disappointed that none of the extras were subtitled. Of course the movie itself is both closed captioned and subtitled. In the early days of DVD, most of the extras were not subtitled, but it is much more common that they...
I always thought Pinocchio would be one of them. Weren't they just about to, or already released Sleeping Beauty as a special edition? Is there a list of the releases and order somewhere on the web?
Some versions might not have included these scenes, but I don't think they missed them on purpose. Now that they did miss them, I'm sure they will say anything to cover up the fact that they weren't included, so they don't have to do it over and send out replacement discs, like with BTTF.
I checked the taped versions that were taped off the CBC, and both those scenes were missing as well when I taped them. I wonder if these versions were edited for time for commercial TV, and these were the versions they choose to use.:frowning:
Lion King is getting the same treatment that Snow White and Beauty and the Beast recieved. It is going to have a new song added. I believe its coming out in Imax in the Theatre first.
I read today that Michael Gambon (Gosford Park) is playing Dumbledore. Filming starts next week. Rest of the cast is also listed. See the attached link:

Out of 140 I have 7 left to watch which I bought recently. I like to watch everything on the disc including commentaries when I get them. I like to make sure that nothing is defective while I can still take it back. After watching everything, I'm sure some extras I'll never watch again, like...
