If I were to win an Epson HC 8700 my family and I would watch the Saints beat the Cowboys on National television and then we would watch the 2009 version of "A Christmas Carol" so that my Godson (7) and my Grandchildren (2 & 3) could begin to get into the Christmas Spirit. (yes I'm 39 and have...
The new Denon and Marantz blu players have 7.1 analog outs. Some of the older models such as the Panasonic ???10 have them but I would stick with something new.
I'm going to guess that you didn't hear a difference because the crossover on your receiver is set to send all of the information to your regular sub. That sub probably isn't going to get any info unless you set your speakers to large or if you have the "double bass" option on your receiver.
I made subwoofer cables out of RG6 and RCA adaptors from Ratshack and they work great. I have also used them for composite audio and video as well as component with great results. I prefer these cables because I can customize their length and they are inexpensive. From what I understand...
I'm looking forward to hearing some LFE from the movie. When I went to our brand new local theater I was shocked to find that they had a poor, or no, subwoofer. I kept thinking that I wanted to be in my basement.
Can Tony afford to have Junior in a mental ward with dementia? You would think that the potential for Junior to accidentally tell secrets would be too risky to allow Junior to live.
I am on the fence about this movie. I may buy it simply because there hasn't been anything new lately and because as a Chicagoan I will like seeing the City from another's point of view. You review points me toward buying it.
I have been thinking of the line as well but I am worried about protecting them and the manifold would best shield them from tiny hands and projectiles.
I clicked this thread to see if it was actually released. I went to CC yesterday and they did not have it. Of course last week they didn't have Ray. The week before they didn't have Sky Captain etc... Brand new building, same ole' CC.
Patric C... I too left CC and BB empty handed. I got a widescreen copy at Target today. They had three copies remaining. A stocker was standing next to me with two complete cases of Full Frame copies but no widescreen.
No bracing... Sonosub maybe??? On the DIY front page about 1/3rd of the way down on the left side you will see a sonosub link. Take a look and see what you think. I flip flop about trying that or a regular cabinet with bracing. Bracing shouldn't be that hard to do. Sonotube costs...
Wad I've been looking at the same sub and volume. Using the info from KurtJ I think that the sub should be a cube of 26.771 inches internally. you would still need to add to the dimensions to account for your bracing. I've not gotten the port just right yet but I am thinking that it...
Finally got some more time to get back to planning a sonosub with the Atlas 15. I am looking at internal dimensions of 22" diameter x 50" long (311.462 Liters or 11 cubic feet). Am I correct that I would need two 22" long x 6" diameter ports to tune this thing at 16hz? I can't wait...
If they plan on offering PC based players and the appropriate software I would think that a HTPC would be a great compromise to the DVD, HDVD, Blu-Ray "all-in-one" player. I wonder what the hardware requirements would be...
I'm looking to do the same. Here is a great sonosub link. http://www.quux.net/roo/diy/sonosub/ I used it to come up with the following tube sizes. 22" X 50" = 311.462 Liters 24" X 42" = 311.359 Liters 26" X 35.75" = 311.037 Liters 11 cubic feet = 311.52 I'm too stupid to figure...
Thanks Chad! After reading up on Sonotubes and seeing different designs and different theories (Harmon white paper) I am thinking that I am best suited to Build a pair of Atlas 15's in your ported alignment as was posted on your site. I'm still not sharp enough to figure out what to enter...
Their site claims that the Mark IV is in production. I hope that it is. I am wanting to make two 142L sonosubs with a 3"X12" port. It was between the Shiva Mark IV and the 15" Dayton DVC. I am a novice, but it seems that the Shiva is a better performer.
