    Looking for Receiver

I would never recommend buying a Sony over a Denon or Marantz.

    Denon AVR-1804 BStock off ebay?

6ave selling new items for about the same price as bstock from dakmart? Well, 6ave sell the 1804 for $499 where dakmart sells it for $330. Quite a difference and worth checking into. Thanks for your opinions everyone. Does anyone know if Ecost have any 1804's or if they'll substitute...

    Denon AVR-1804 BStock off ebay?

Does anyone recommend buying or recommend against buying a BStock Denon receiver off ebay? The seller (Dakmart) is actually a registered dealer on the Denon website so it should come fully waranteed from Denon. Has anyone bought one of these or know someone that did? I really want the...

    Paradigm Servo-15 to SVS 20-39 PC+

I think you should definetely stick with the Servo-15. It is indeed a mighty fine sub. There's just no replacing servo technology.

    Hydrosonic subwoofer???

Whoa, I don't know what to think of this concept.. The graph for the IBS 10 looks impressive, that is if it's real. One thing about it though, I love how different it is!

What's the best sub for $300-400?

My vote would have to go for the Velodyne CHT-10. This is truly a great subwoofer that offers great performance in all applications. Music, or HT, it will definetely sound amazing. It is right on the 400 dollar mark though, but you're not going to beat the quality or sound with anything else...

    Suggestions for $500 Subwoofer?

I recommend you get the Velodyne CHT-10, it's about 650 at futureshop, and you'd probably be able to talk them down a bit. Very good sub for the money. Sure SVS are amazing, but you cant just drive down to the local futureshop and get one. And well, DIY subs just dont look good enough for my...

Sub RCAs- do these look good?

This is the cable I'm using: http://home.new.rr.com/zaph/audio/audio-cables.html Made myself a nice 25 foot length of the stuff, it's great! The splitter I'm using since my receiver also has a single RCA output, is an Acoustic Research one I got tossed in when I bought the sub. Oh, and...

Need your suggestions for a sub with my setup...

Out of curiousity, what do you dislike about the Velodyne? I think you should consider the CHT series, the CHT-12 would probably do you fine, but if you can, spend the extra money and get the CHT-15, both are amazing subs.

    Athena?

I was at futureshop not long ago and listened to some of their speakers, and I thought the Athena ASF1's we're pretty damn good for the money. They are $499.99 so I guess they meet your budget. Go check them out at the listening room, it is the only way to decide...

    Velodyne CHT input?

I plan on getting a velodyne CHT-12 in the next 5 days or so, and there's just one thing I'm wondering about before I get it. The input on the back of the velodyne has both a left and right RCA in, and my receiver only has a single output. Does it matter any that I'll only be running into the...

    Any vedolyne owners?

I have a friend that has a really nice setup incorporating A Harmon Kardon receiver, all Polk speakers, and a CHT-10 Velodyne. You wouldn't believe how awesome it sounds! I didn't find the velodyne at all boomy or muddy, it sounded great! He had the crossover on the sub set at 40Hz which seemed...

    Can any receivers do this?

I don't suppose anyone actually knows any particular models though do they? I don't want an expensive brand, just something main stream, it's all I need, something like Kenwood, RCA, Sony, Panasonic, Technics, Pioneer, whatever..

    Can any receivers do this?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there are any old prologic receivers that have seperate inputs for all 5.1 channels. The reason I'm asking this is because I plan to go the computer route for a DTS and 5.1. My soundcard has all the RCA outputs for these channels, here's a pic of the back of the rack...
