    Partsexpress DLS 10"?

That Vidsonix deal looks mighty interesting. Looks like a possible runner-up to the DLS. I hope someone takes the plunge and tests it out! Makes a pretty bold statement in their info page saying it will outperform a similarly priced Sony, Velodyne, or JBL. Whose first? --jeff_str

    Speakers for Denon 1803

People seem to really like the JBL NSP1 setup. Roughly $200, plus a WM40 or that new velodyne and you've got it all for under $500. There are threads on these, just run a few searches. --jeff_str

DLS 10 discontinued, Alternatives? DIY help?

Thanks for that. I guess all is not entirely lost. I'll wait for a couple more months and see what happens. I'm very cautious about using a sub for music, but people seemed to like this one. I hope the next model will at least be on par (or still better than the Sony). --jeff_str

DLS 10 discontinued, Alternatives? DIY help?

holy crap, this is awful! why didn't i see more about this on the forums? i was really looking forward to purchasing one because I wanted an inexpensive sub that would be great for music as well as HT. i finally got the cash and now i'm screwed! anyone know for sure if they will never be...

    What receiver for JBL NSP1's

Well that's enough for me. Thanks Phil and Justin! I'll continue as planned then. I realized that the crossover was gradual but just wanted to make sure that I wasn't losing much of the spectrum. I just didn't want to do 100hz because I listen to a lot of music and wanted to minimize sub...

    What receiver for JBL NSP1's

I also have the same plans and would like to hear Phil's response about the crossover issue. I was planning on pairing the NSP1's with a Denon 1803 (+DLS sub), but am concerned about the 80hz crossover setting. In previous posts, Phil had reported a test from a magazine that gave the NSP1's...

Can't find an RP82? Crutchfield: NEW Panasonic DVD-CP72S for $159.99 after rebate!!!

Both discounts didn't work for me either. However I got no call or email from anyone. I emailed them after I got my confirmation email and they sent me an email back stating that both could not be used at once. I must've just missed when they caught it, as I ordered in the early AM on the 24th...

    Fluance Speakers? Some Answers!

Any thoughts on either Fluance system compared to the JBL NSP1? I had it all planned out to go with a Denon 1803 + DLS sub for the el cheapo setup, but these may also fit the bill. Anyone try the Fluances with music? --jeff_str

Denon 883 vs 1803 what is the difference?

It will still be a few months for me, but I'll just get it wherever I can find it the cheapest. nxgen seems to be the lowest at the moment, eh? Happy hunting! --jeff_str

Denon 883 vs 1803 what is the difference?

It has a phono input. Like other people have reported, the units appear to be identical. Here's a link to the spec sheet of both units from Denon: http://www.usa.denon.com/catalog/pdfs/avr883.pdf http://www.usa.denon.com/catalog/pdfs/avr18033.pdf I don't have one yet but will definitely be...
