That Vidsonix deal looks mighty interesting. Looks like a possible runner-up to the DLS. I hope someone takes the plunge and tests it out! Makes a pretty bold statement in their info page saying it will outperform a similarly priced Sony, Velodyne, or JBL. Whose first? --jeff_str

People seem to really like the JBL NSP1 setup. Roughly $200, plus a WM40 or that new velodyne and you've got it all for under $500. There are threads on these, just run a few searches. --jeff_str

Thanks for that. I guess all is not entirely lost. I'll wait for a couple more months and see what happens. I'm very cautious about using a sub for music, but people seemed to like this one. I hope the next model will at least be on par (or still better than the Sony). --jeff_str

Any thoughts on either Fluance system compared to the JBL NSP1? I had it all planned out to go with a Denon 1803 + DLS sub for the el cheapo setup, but these may also fit the bill. Anyone try the Fluances with music? --jeff_str
