CRTs are the best when it comes to blacks. Thats just how it is. Im sure your TV is fine. I think the Mitsubishi's look great. And even DLP which is suppose to have an even better contrast ratio than most other types of displays. Still can't beat the good ole CRT. You just gotta stop comparing...

Get a Samsung 1080p DLP. Best bang for buck. They last the longest. And they look Great!

I would just place them on the back wall with what ever distance you feel is good enough. Or if you want try both positions out for like a couple days and see which one you like better.

If thats the case. Then what about Infinity Subs. Cause thats my only other option as far as speakers go. Are their subs any good?
