i have the 46wt500 and i am very happy with the set. no problems at all. Dvd's look great on the set and i hear hd is excellent. cable is good depending on the feed. i've had my since Dec. 2002 and paid a little over $1600 for it. i also got the ext. warranty so it came out to about $2100 with tax.
i would DEFINATLY stick with widescreen. Not sure on measurements but, you can check it out yourself Sony 51 WS500 Sony KP 46WT500 (I HAVE THIS ONE) TOSHIBA 50 H82 OR HDX 82 HITACHI 51 INCH MITISUBISHI 48 INCH JVC 48 INCH THERE ARE OTHERS PROBABLY BUT CAN'T THINK OF ANY MORE. THESE...
i have this model. damn. that sucks, it kinda sounds like it. call for service and describe the problem. they will tell you if it is the dreaded flicker. you'll be the first is you do have it with this set.
well i would do some more info searching to see if they're are any real changes to it. Also these set should be flicker free as some of the WS500 series had them.
another thing to consider with your set that if you ever have problems(HOPEFULLY YOU WON"T) and it requires the set to be taken out of your home to be repaired, what will you do than. i would take that # down, and set some money aside just in case. How about a 46 inch sony:D . I love it but will...
MAKE/MODEL: Sony KP46WT500 SIZE/TYPE: 46" rptv PRICE I PAID: $1648 GOOD THINGS: Great with DVD's/ great stretch mode for 4:3/ very easy to tweak(including red push and svm) lots of inputs/ dvi input/ SO FAR NO REPORTS OF FLICKER/ Excellent HDTV picture/ handles analog cable well/ great...
i would definatly use the zoom mode to eliminate the scrolling at the bottom of the text when watching the news. Switch up on news channels to avoid static images like CNN getting burned in.
cool, how much did you pay? how come you didn't get the 34h82 instead of the 81. both are great, don't get me wrong but the 82 has the dvi input also. so i'm wondering if you got a good deal on it? congrads, i'm sure you will be happy with it.
i don't know much at all about the Hitachi but i do have the Sony kp46WT500 you speak of and i love it. Great picture with DVD DVI HDCP input Red Push easily fixed in Service Menu HD looks spectacular. Great Size Easy remote to use Nice cabinet if you like silver It comes with the...
I would get the 27 for the dorm room. that's a good size and it won't be too much on the back when your lifting it. it's a nice set and will fill your needs.
i've done tweaks to my Sony kp46WT500 in the service menu and all is well. i've been very happy with the results. My email is [email protected] email me and i will email you my tweaks and the site i got it from. MOST IMPORTANT--- let the set break in and turn down contrast & brightness in all...
Yes it will stretch the image to fit the screen if you choose to. Dvd's look great on the tv. a dvd player with 3:2 pull down is neccessary to help get rid of the artifacts when viewing dvd's. It does have 2 wideband component inputs so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
well i don't know too much about the Mitsu, but i do have the Sony you are speaking of. I am very happy with it. It is very easy to tweak in the Service Menu as long as you read on it. DVD's look great. Thre wide Zoom very works very well for 4:3 programming. things like red push can easily be...
I saw th 34 RCA at CC today and it looks good but for some reason, even if i bought it, i would still get the EW just for peace of mind. For mos DV's i wouldn't but with RCA, i hear their SD is horrible.
I have it on mine but I honestly don't think it's gonna be a big issue right now. I mean when you look at the big Picture, there are TONS of sets out there (HDTV) with out it. In my opinion that's money to be made so i'm sure company's will come up with some type of adapter to work through the...
well the with widescreen movies you're gonna get a bigger picture with the 34. So for future purposes such as HDTV, i think you will be much happier with the 34. 4:3 material will be smaller but you can stretch the image with it's capable Zoom modes. The 32 inch is great for 4:3 programming and...
switch to pro mode: the middle being 50%= Contrast=25%-35% Brightness=40%-45% Color- 4 clicks to the left to compensate for red push Hue= middle Sharpness-25% Color setting to warm. After that adjust your lighting, pop in a movie and enjoy. adjust accordingly after that to...
hmm that is a good question. well for the first few hundred hours, imo it is important that you let the set break in properly, meaning adjusting the picture from day one and also turning it of for a few hours after being on for a long time. also don't watch to much of the burn in channels like...
i would probably pick the Tosh since others seem to like it so much. Lots of tweaks available for it. the Rca is an attractive set. i would DEFINATLY get an extended warranty for both especially the RCA since there service is terrible from all the post i've read at this forum and others. which...
Sony KP46WT500 Toshiba 42HDX Toshiba 50H82 Hitachi 43uwx Panny 47 or 53 Mitshibishi 42 inch tv. those are all rptv's in that price range give or take a little depending on where you purchase it.
