I have found alot of sites with some good prices on rope lights, but I am looking for the rope light that has only one bulb about every foot or so, its basically gonna be tucked underneath my base trim to light the perimiter of the room, its also going to be on a dimmer, i just need that outline...
I also used a 2 inch PVC, it has only one 90 degree turn which is right at the box it goes into, other than that its a straight run, I wanted to go with a 3 incher but since I had to cut a hole in my steel I-Beam in the basement to get it throught I didnt want to go over 2 inches on the hole...
Well I ordered a BenQ PE7800, the price was just right for my budget, so my first PJ should be here on thursday or friday, WOOO I CANT WAIT!! Thanks to everyone here for all their help over the past few years, WOW how time flew by, this is the first forum I came to when I decided I had to...
Personally I would go with as high a ceiling as possible, nothing crazy but in my opinion 9 feet is optimal, as far as the stereo, once again I personally would get a 6.1 or 7.1, Yes I know that the majority of movies are still 5.1 but nonetheless I think that a 5.1 soundtrack sounds better on a...
Honestly you are the only person I have heard complain about the 4805 with a dead pixel, it sux that they are treatin you like that, but anyway, I have heard that tuning to a channel that doesnt broadcast IE. a snowy station and leaving it on for about 2-4 hours can loosen a stuck pixel...
Go for the Pioneer, Sony is garbage, Im not gonna argue with anyone here but sayin sony has better parts in it is like saying KLH speakers are better than Paradigm or Klipsch
Take a look at the BenQ PE7700, the Toshiba MT700 or the Optima H77, I have seen the H77 and in my opinion the picture on a 120 looks awesome even standing 4 feet away from the screen, If I had the bucks right now I would get one of those 3 as they probably have just about the same picture quality
My vote is for the Pioneer Elite, A freind of mine has the 50" in his bedroom and its fantastic, He was able to get it Brand New at American TV for around 5,500.00, dont ask me how he talked them down that much because even he doesnt know how he lucked out that much, but the fact that it comes...
I put the drywall up on my cieling about a week ago, I put R-19 between the joists and used Sound Resilient hat channel over the joists, and after doing some tests, I wish I had put a double layer of R-19 up, alot of sound is still blocked but I had hoped for better results, but there is no way...
the answer sounds like Yes, If all that stuff goes off at once when the breaker pops, and then comes back on once you turn the breaker back on, then the answer is definitally yes, you could try to upgrade the breaker to a 20 amp but I wouldnt recommend that, as if it doesnt blow the 20 it may...
I always thought Rebates were Gay and pointless, "to the consumer that is" the manufacturer just hopes that someone will lose the papers or forget to send in the rebate
My roomate bought the Panasonic 48" for our living room and it looks awesome with Dish Network HD and DVD's, He got it at AmericanTV and paid about 1030.00 with tax
im not an expert on the reciever/speaker end of things, I know how to hook up a 7.1 and what is and isnt a good speaker, but I wonder if Lengthening your speaker wire runs "Perhaps doubling the lengths" would help that problem
Indeed, Erik has some great Ideas, a few of which I have implemented in my theater as well, in my ceiling I used the R19 Insulation between the joists and then put the Resilient hat channel over them like he did, I was going to use roof felt on the joists as well but decided against it, I have...
My vote is for DLP, after a couple years of reading and viewing LCD and DLP, IMHO you cant beat DLP, in all reality with the exception of the bulb dimming over its lifetime, the picture on a DLP will never degrade, whereas on an LCD it will over time fade and degrade ie. blue polorizer and LCD...
