unscrew the driver from the enclosure and make sure one of the wires didnt fall off of the terminal on the sub driver(speaker). This happened to me on my jbl pb12. it took me forever to figure out what was wrong.
I want to upgrade the front L&R speakers of my home theater. I have been looking at these http://www.jbl.com/home/products/pro...Id=NRE&sCatId= They will take the place of the front L&R speaker of my NSP1 set. Will these work well with my other speakers? also, Is the port on these speakers on...
i have the NSP1 set. i think its great. cheap too. i am ysing them with a JBL PB12 subwoofer. i think its a great sub too. you cant get it at a resonable price at www.jandr.com
I think im gonna go with the S36IIs and in the near future upgrade my n-center to the s-centerII and keep my n24s as surrounds. anyone have this setup? will it sound ok if i mix the northridge and studio series?
I think i bottomed out my JBL PB12 once. I had just bought the new star wars episode 2 DVD. so i put it in and i didnt relize the volume was at 15 dbs higher than what i keep it at for movies. I went into the kitchen to get some ice cream while the yellow words part was going on. I took to long...
ok, i just went down and measured and i only have 13 inches of hight to work with. bummer. i searched around JBL.com and it looks like the S36II will fit the best. would these work well with my other speakers? They say max power is 150 watts, will 100 watts to each of them be enough?
I am going to upgrade the front L&R speakers of my JBL NSP1 set. im putting the two N24 speakers on the "b" speakers of the reciver, and putting them in another room. So now i need new fronts for my HT. Im still want to keep the N-Center for now, and i want to stick with bookshelfs to. I guess...
ok i see what you mean. so when i have the A and B speakers on at the same time, the two fronts and sub of my HT and the two speakers in the other room will be playing, right? because when i hit the speaker B button on my reciver it automatical goes into stereo(fronts and sub, no center chanel)
when we designed my basmet we wired another room for two more speaker. the room next to the one with our HT. what i want to be able to do is buy an amp(2 channels/ 100 watts each)and hook it up to my reciver(kenwood VR-6070) and be able to listen to music all thorought my basement through my HT...
I figured out why i have so much his. Its my TV. Nothing hissis until my televisions is turned on. Im using a kenwood vr-06050 reciver and a hitachi ustravision TV. Is there any thing that i can do so that the TV wont make the speakers hiss?
There isnt any coaxil cable connected. The cable is hooked up to the DVD digital input on the back of the reciver and my DVD players video is hooked up to the DVD input as well. I was thinking the cable might be bad because: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...hlight=optical
I have a kenwood 6050. I have it hooked up to my DVD player with an optical cable. the dvd player is set up for DD and DTS output. when ever i swithch the input mode to digital manual it show coaxil and not optical. And I cant manualy change it. it has to detect the digital signal on its own...
When watching TV with my HT the only way i get sound to come out of the rear left and right speakers is to use CS6.1 MONO. PLII, PLII movie, and PLII music only have sound coming out of the center channel and the front left and right. how do i get sound from the rears without 6.1 mono?
The rim is rattling aginst the celling. I think im gonna get some wood shimes, cut the up and put them in between the celling and can. when i do ill post back and tell ya how it worked.
I have two recessed(can)lights above my sub and they rattle alot and its very loud. I dont notice it much when watching movies but when im playing music it is loud. anyone have any ideas for making recessed lights quiet?
Problem #1: when my speker eq is set to "small" there is no sound that comes out of the rear speakers. Problem #2: i cant get my reciver to read DD or DTS i have used coaxil and optical and still cant get my reciver to read DD/DTD. My DVD player is set up for digital output and i am selecting...
For some resont when using the test tones on my reiver the max for the master volume is -10db and the max volume on the reciver when not using test tone is -8db. Whay doesnt it go all the way to 0db.
Thanks alot guys. one more question though when calibrating my sub should i calibrate it in LFE and Normal or just LFE. And i read that the sub should be -3db from the reference level. should i do this?
I have a SPL meter from RS and want to caliibrate my speaker levels. Im using the internal test-tones for now. here is my problem: I set the master volume on my reciver(kenwood 6050) to -15db which is 85 db right? So this is my reference level.now i set my SPL meter to 80 and put it on "slow"...
I have a NSP1 speaker set and a Kenwood 6050 reciver and im noticing alot of hissing sounds coming out of my speaker. It only comes out of the front right and left and the center(center speaker doesnt have nearly as much hiss as the fronts). Its VERY noticable. I hear it on DVDs and CDs and even...
I was wondering if i should use LFE for only DD and DTS or can i use it for every thing(pro logic,DD,DTS). The instuction book says to use LFE for a digital signal and use "normal" for analog signals. Would it sound bad to use LFE for analog and digital?
I took the speaker itself off of the unit and guess what theres only 1 wire attached to the sub the green wire is just laying on the bottom so im gonna put it on and see if it works. woo-hoo.
well i did it and still no sound, but i have a felling that there is nothing worng woth the unit and im just screwing up the set up or something. honestly i dont know what to do. oh yeah i asked my dad about seeing if i could get someone form this forum to help me out. He said he would rather...
im kind of confused with the high level input thing. when i tried it i disconnected the speaker wire from the front right speaker and put it on the right high level input on the sub. how do i put it in the right and left on the sub if its only 1 speaker wire.
