Gregg, I also sent you an email through your website. It looks like you may be in my area soon and I'd love to get on the list if possible. Thanks. [email protected]
In general you're better off with the fronts set to small, and if you don't mind running through the MCACC setup then why spend the extra dough on the 53TX? right? I just bought a 43TX myself for under $500 and am very pleased. :)
Another year for revised S-series? Shucks... I'm hungry for dipole/bipole from JBL that sports the 1" tweeter. When will JBL provide an appropriate surround speaker for us faithful customers. I'm really eager to get some dipoles on the wall, but I'm not about to throw down the $$$ for another...
Alright...well...a couple of these :b :b :b are in order. I played around with the settings and apparently the --- settign for "bass peak level" doesn't disable the feature it disables the bass. ...phew thanks all for helping. I knew it had to be one of the settings. :emoji_thumbsup...
Well unfortunately it wasn't midnight mode, as much as I tried to will it so. It's not the sub either because I sat there with Star Wars II on and my SVS in my lap crankin up the gain and nada, nothing. I get a very slight vibration from the driver with the gain all the way up and thats it...
Maybe someone can lend some insight: I received my new 43TX just this week and have been fidgeting with it. Here's the problem I've encountered. During setup everything appears ok, setup for a THX system, subwoofer to yes, sub levels at reasonable level. The internal test tones all work and I...
Alright y'all, she's priced to sell. The unit has been in steady use in the bedroom for less than a year, never missed a beat. It's in flawless condition. I'll ship it to any address in the contiguous U.S. via UPS ground. Payment by money order only please. btw - I also have a JBL...
Have any of you guys experienced audio dropouts? I've gotten a couple so far, namely the scene where the twins make their first appearance (not yet sure if they return). I think I've gotten about three so far, all during the cinematic sequences. I hadn't planned on buying this...
I agree, good choices. I just ordered myself a very similar system except for the card. I'm waiting for the 9800 Pro which just shipped out from ATI. I don't know how serious a gamer you are but its something to consider. The 9800 is basically an overclocked 9700 with a few other upgrades and...
I just popped in my first DVD-A disc into the panny and am having trouble getting true 5.1 playback. Everything seems fine with the DVD player: it's says it outputting in 'PPCM 96k24b 6ch' and the track list is up on my screen. When I play a surround track I can't seem to get 5.1. The Denon is...
I would go with the Mini's if I were you. Since you have the ability to place them so far behind the seating area and well apart you wouldn't (IMHO) even need to consider localization. I think that setup would sound fantastic.
BTW - At a favorite internet dealer of mine ( www.lgdsuperstore.com ) that speaker package can be had for less than $700. You must be quoting MSRP which you shouldn't even consider paying for JBL speakers.
For sure. I've experimented with 6.1 and 7.1 in my room and having two speakers back there is absolutely a worthy investment. The widened rear sound stage sounds leaps and bounds better than one speaker on rear duty. That will be a $50 investment you won't regret. BTW - $200 for some v2...
Onecall has a reputation of being one the most reliable and consumer friendly internet dealers around. My personal experince with them has been very satisfying. If it's on their site then believe it! They are a pleasure to deal with. Just b/c I feel like typing right now, and it may help...
Ditto. The big question: Are the box subs as accurate as the cylinders? That's what I, and I'm sure a few others want to know. Can a few extra bucks from my pocket get me comparable (or identical??) performance along with the benefits of less intrusive speaker? I love my sub (25-31...
From what I've gathered from the more experienced I can say that Klipsch speakers, due to their sensitivity, can be driven relatively easily. So if you're thinking about a lower end receiver you should be able to draw more potential from Klipsch speakers than most others. On the other hand, they...
7! You won't regret it. With a room that long you should be able to place those rears well behind you, which is ideal. EX/es material really adds a new dimension to HT audio. I would recommend anyone who has the ability to add two rear speakers to do so.
1. Yes, most of my listening occurs at -25 to +05. 2. If you calibrate your speakers properly using an AVIA/VE disc it really doesn't matter what 'number' the speakers are set to. For sake of simplicity I have all mine calibrated to 0, I tinkered with the volume control to obtain 85dB with...
