I also own the M60/QS8/VP150 combo plus the Axiom subwoofer 175. I feelings are same as most of the other post. Great value and sound from this speaker set up. My only concern has been the subs performance during movies. Their sub is beeter suited for music (in my opinion) then the bang ,boom...
Need input on a basic yet I hope time saving question. I would like to add two speakers to an adjoining room from my basement h/t set up. I'm just running cable connected to the b side of my Sony ES reciever. The run is 35-40 feet thru my drop ceiling into this other room 25x20. My question is...
I would grab one of the RP-91 as they are going down in price since its discontinued. I've had no problems with mine and it has many options to twaek if you chose to. Try pricegrabber.com for other and cheaper option on this model.
I auditioned these a few months back and was leaning more toward the C-7s. Bass was not an isse from what heard. The matching surrounds is what runed me off as to the bulit quality. Despite that I enjoyed the sound !!
It would appear from the postings, going with a ES -model is the way to go. Assuming budget is not an issue. ES-4 or 5 is hte way to go if your leaning toward the Sony ES line. Compare the feature and also the 5 year warranty.
Greg, Home Depot or Lowes have these furnitre markers that blend in well with wood products. If its just a small nich stay away from paint and try the blending markers first.
RONJON, I just got Comcast newest HDTV box in the S Jersey area. The box supplied was the Scientific Atlanta 3100 model and its only as coxial out for DD.
David: I would try this on your 555-ES settings. Adjust the speakers to MC-Direct thus sending any the signeal to all speakers. You are in essence avoiding any BM. See hoe it sounds in yuor set up. I have the same player and its made a differebce with CD and SACD playback.
It sounds like you have no choice but to get another player or consider get the same model. They have dropped down in price big time, if you can find one. Try pricegrabber.com to search. Good luck
I would get a hold of Panny customer service and some input. You may want to try and reset the unit. Try a search on this site or others for the how to's. I've had mine for the lst year and no problems. Good luck.
Jim: I would go with the Axiom's as well. If you can swing it seriously conider the Q-8 or 4's as your surrounds. The 150 as the center channel is awesome too. Check out their b selection from the online store. It was hard for me to find and defect and they carry the same waranty.
Check out bestpriceaudiovideo.com . Authorized dealer and great customer service. Prices on the studio line are best I've seen. Consider the S-36 over the 26 as its three way for surrounds.
I compared the H/K vs Sony a few months back. I choose the Sony EA 4 -ES for options, built quality and 5 year warranty and online price. It had dual multi channel outputs since I have spearate SACD, DVD-A components in my set up. H/K are nice but Sony model gave me more and a way to expand 6.1...
Mount the 36's on the wall are your best bet. No need to worry about direction. It depnds on the size of your room and set up. The Sanus stands are nice and so is the product line. You studio set will sound great. Good value for the money. I agree that JBL gets slammed but the bottom line is you...
Seriously consider the Axiom's. Check out the store for 2nds which come with hard to detect if any defects and still has their full warranty. Great customer service and delivery. If your budget was higher consider the M 60 and the Q- 8 surrounds. good luck
Gerry, I've done the exact same comparison with speakers and by room dimension is similar to yours. I finally went with Axiom M-60, Q_8 , 150 center and their largest sub 350(?). I'm been more then please with these speakers. My set up is both H/T and for music. I selected them without...
I've used them on several occasions for RPTV, DVD player etc and the service was great. Best advise is to check around then deal with onecall. bestpriceaudiovideo.com has great prices on JBL line and some recievers like ONKYO. chekc them out too. Good luck.
Greg T: The numbers are 250. Do you know what the HO 98 stands for ? Hope that helps. The remote on this thing is not backlite but some of the buttons glow in the dark. Not a big deal since I plan to get a unviersal remote in the near future.
I would go with the S-center. Nice match between the S-series and the Yammy receiver. If you listen to music more then H/T and don't have SACD or DVD-A needs then go with the S-38.
I was faced with the same issue a few months ago when upgrading and set up another ysstem in my home. I prefer SACD format to DVD-A but wanted to have both in the new set up. I have the Panny RP-91 with its DVD-A cabilites and Sony 555 ES for SACD's. Instead of using the switch box , i purschase...
I just picked up an RP-91 before the holidays from onecall.com and bestpriceaudiovideo.com has them as well at competive price. Its a well built unit and much smother operating them my Panny RP-56. No problem but the remote is not backlite as you would expect in the price range $400- 450). Not a...
Its your display device. Do a search for the various sets out there from RPTV to analog direct view. Good time of year to get tv but checking out these forums will assit you in getting informed.
I've had my ES-4 for 2 months and its great for the price. As other post have already stated do and seach and listen for yourself. Thumbs up for this reciever.
