Its been so long since the initial announcement that I'm getting skeptical that we will ever see it. The studios appear to be busy right now putting out boxed sets of every lame TV show in their vaults. I would sure like to own this version of the film.;)
I think "Batman Returns" looks even worse than "Batman" and I think its a way better film. The blacks aren't black and there is more grain than I remember when seeing it in the theater. I'm sure a lot of this is due to the fact its a damn flipper with one side being used for the useless pan-scan...
Back on topic......How was the current "restored" print of "An American in Paris" created? As I said before, "to my eye and compared to other Technicolor films of the period like "Singing In The Rain" and 'Annie Get Your Gun", it just doesn't look right to me. Almost like an Eastman color copy...
