home theater in a box (one for my bedroom) its about 15x13. I'd like to spend under 100 bucks and I really don't care about the wattage. If it has a DVD player built in thats a plus. So far the best deal I've found is this at CC. http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...Review.do#tabs...
I have a philips 34PW850H its a 34 inch HDTV Widescreen Tube. Anyways when watching stuff in thats in 4:3 ratio on my Philips TV the edges of the picture begin to wave/weave. Rather then being a straight edge down the TV. I'm using component cables to connect from my cable box and according to...

I finally got everything hooked up and working. Thanks for all the help. The one thing I notice though is if Im watching a non HDTV channel using the component cables it ends up with the black bars on the left and right. Now I know thats normal, but the bottom corners where the color and black...
I trying to watch a widescreen DVD on my HDTV Widescreen Philips TV and I was under the impression it was suppose to be the whole screen using 1080i. But it looks like its using 480i and I have the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. I'm using component cables. How do I get it to...

I had a set of component cables that were connected to the 2 audio ones also, but I didn't need the audio ones so I ripped the cables down the middle to split the 3 component cables from the 2 audio ones. You can now see some of the copper wire on the component cable side. Is this bad? Howard

Going to be hooking it up to a 150 watt powered sub, and 5 100 watt speakers.
Right now I got a really junky Kenwood hometheater system, not really upgradeable because of how you have to plug the speakers into the sub, then into the receiver, so I'm doing some shopping for a new one, hopefully around 500 watts and has DTS, but I can't really afford to pay more then 450...
