What if I install illegal software on my laptop and walk into the woods blindfolded without an internet connection..will Microsoft be able to delete my poo poo software? :)
I've built my friends a couple computers for under $1000 that are really decent, but of course exclude all the fancy stuff like a *monitor* or *operating system* I mean, who needs those things? ;)
I agree with Martin, download Winamp 2.80Link Removed
Works flawlessly with OGG Vorbis (make sure you get the Full version, otherwise you won't have the support, not sure about standard though).
or..you can always yank out the hard drive and put it in a computer with a burner in it, or do what I do: haul your laptop over (along with a nic) and move the files over.
I've got the z560 from Logitech, while they are awesome, I've noticed they kinda get whacko with higher frequency, namely classical music due to the lack of a dedicated tweeter.
The z560 are good if you're going to be bumping hardcore g4ngsta rap or whatever else you listen to :). If you just...
If he's just listening to music, technically he won't need SCSI or 7200 RPM drives, but since 7200 is pretty much standard(in desktops), I guess he doesn't have much of a choice, but then again the 7200 would be better for a larger hard drive. Just encode in Ogg Vorbis at the highest quality...
You could always buy one big hard drive (I think the 320gb's are coming out soon) and make 3 partitions: 1 for system files, 1 for programs, and 1 for music. Also, you can save hard drive space by encoding in OGG Vorbis format, which gives way better quality than mp3 imo.
I've found a couple light kits with the sound sensor on E-bay, but they plug into the 3 pin molar connection to a psu. Is there such a converter that will allow me to plug it into wall?
I have no idea which forum to put this in, but since it has to do with music, this is the one that I thought was closest to the subject. Anyways, if its the wrong forum, I'm sorry. Anyways here's my predicament. I got a pen a couple days ago that had a cool blue light you could turn on and...
Link Removed is the norm for gaming..it'll measure your computers performance with game tests that are 'in the future'. There are also some dx8.1 tests as well. A lot of people use this as a religious test and yap about it all the time. Just a good way to measure you systems performance for games.
I had an old Packard Bell that had an S3 Virge (ah remember those days) onboard and I just ended up disabling it in Windows and installed a new PCI (so long ago...) card and didn't have any problems..might wanna try that if you can't disable that through the bios.
It actually does matter if you're a hardware enthusiast who overclocks..otherwise it really doesn't matter. Some 'no name' manufacturers just take some ram and up their timings and remark them instead of making a new process.
As Chad said, it would be possible to use the T1 connection at home, but you would have to get your house wired in order for that to happen...unless they're willing to shell out the money for that, I'd just dump AOL and get a normal isp.
Are you talking about dialing in to like a terminal screen, or remotely using the computer? Check out VNC if you want to remotely control it..of course you'll need the ip and VNC makes you set a password.
Try all the tips that Max suggested. If none of those work, its probably a hardware issue. I have XP and 2000 on seperate computers (both Dells, one workstation and one laptop) and neither burn cd's that skip. You can always try disabling the ASPI service that XP (not sure if 2k runs it) runs...
Well, 40.41 were released today
http://www.nvidia.com
and on my laptop, they gave me 200 more points in 3dmark2001SE. There's some conspiracy going around that nVidia is now releasing drivers as a marketing tool to downplay the R9700 with their Ti4600 line.
I'd give'em a try ;)
AMD's are great for their price:performance ratio, however, you will need a little more cooling since AMD really packs them transistors into their cores, generating more heat. Although that is of no concern as long as you are using some sort of active cooling on the chip. You'll be surprised how...
I doubt its E-Bay. I'm an avid Ebayer and get questions and ask questions often and am able to respond/get response with any problems. Again, check the headers to see if they are using a remailer. Oh yeah, it might also be your e-mail system because a couple weeks ago, a couple domains were...
