    Panasonic SA-HE100

I haven't seen the HE100 but I have the HE200 which can be bought for about $375 delivered. I can tell you the build quality of this unit is very good. It's almost all aluminum, buttons and knobs are very solid, the remote is not great but is ok, and the sound, power, and features of this unit...

Panasonic SA-HE200 How does it sound??

I've had mine for about a month and a half and it has worked very well for me. It sounds very good to me, is built really well, and I haven't had any problems at all. It really is a very nice quality piece and the looks and price just seal the deal. I would definitely recommend it.

Monsters Inc.... bass at end of chapter 13.

I just bought and watched Monsters, Inc. myself and was very impressed with the sound. I don't have an SVS yet, I have the Sony WM40, and the bass even impressed my wife, and we all know they don't quite get as excited as we do.

what a better buy Panasonic SA-HE200 or Onkyo TX-SR600 ?

I can't speak from experience regarding the Onkyo, but I would certainly bet that the Panasonic would perform as well or better than it any day. There will surely be many others that will have another opinion. I highly recommend the HE200, it has worked very well for me.

    Help! Should I get a Panasonic SA-HE 200?

I have the HE-200 and I would definitely recommend it. I've had it for about 2 weeks and it has worked great. It sounds very good to me although I can't directly compare it to any of the receivers that are generally recommended here. For $375 delivered ($499 list price) you get DD EX, DTS ES...

Anyone recommend $400 receiver to go with this ...?

I agree on the Panasonic RP-82 for the DVD player, I have one and am very pleased. I haven't really heard anything bad about it either. I would go with the Toshiba or Mits RPTVs, both pretty solid sets. For speakers, it seems to be hard to get more bang for the buck than with the JBL...

Problem with RP82 - Need feedback from users

I rent DVDs all the time as well. I used to have problems when playing them on a PS2. Now that I have the RP-82 I haven't had a single problem. Anyway, what I'm saying is that after many rented and dirty or scratched DVDs, I haven't had any problems with mine.

Who makes the best DVD players?

The Panasonic RP-82 is definitely one of the best right now. It plays, DVD-Audio, MP3, WMA, DVD-R, and is progressive scan. It puts out a great picture as well. It can be found for around $215.

Does the Panasonic do DTS-ES discrete, matrix, or both?

I'm also seriously considering this receiver, so I anxiously await any info on it. It sure seems like a lot of bang for the buck, especially since you can get one through videodirect, an authorized dealer, for about $375 delivered. It sure is very clean looking, I'm definitely leaning this way...
