Sounds like The Dark Side Of The Moon. 1988 or '89 I think. Direct to video from Vidmark? Did it end with a shot of a moon-based junkyard with a millenium's worth of missing ships and naval vessals? Part of the premise was that the Bermuda Triangle was connected to sister coordinates...
I believe the scene where Norris blows the impaled dude, who subsequently explodes, out the straw hut with the grenade launcher is from Braddock: Missing In Action III. In Invasion USA he blows the guy out of a high-rise window with a rocket launcher. Rehash what works I guess.
That sounds like The Earthling with Ricky Schroder and William Holden.
If it is, it was just little Ricky that witnessed his folks reverse their RV off a cliff. He had no sister. William Holden is the guy, on walkabout and dying of cancer, that he encounters in the outback and helps him find...
Tough decision where The Lost World & Jurassic Park 3 are concerned. Both had incredibly terrible endings and don't benefit from a complete lack of plot or the fact that they stem from a rather mediocre adaption of an otherwise cool novel.
In the end I guess it's not a tough decision at all...
Post Scripts are a reason to stay all the way through the credits. Although they are very rare. A few examples:
Young Sherlock Holmes' Moriarty origin.
Lethal Weapon 3's bomb arc.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Chain Reaction
Clerks - Film Fest Version
I nominate:
D.O.A.
Let It Ride
The Gumball Rally
Quick Change
I'll second:
Dazed & Confused
The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3
Wait, The Gumball Rally is longer than a day.
I'll change it to:
Vanishing Point
So long as I live, you shall never be alone in your Predator 2 hate.
Pedestrian garbage with some of the most ham-fisted, phoned-in acting I've ever seen. Ahhh! that awful script. Wanna learn how to kill a potential franchise deader than dogshit, watch Predator 2.
Theatrical:
Teen Wolf Too
Fletch Lives
Honey, I Blew Up The Baby!
House Party 2
The Neverending Story II
...in fact any sequel that unimaginatively denotes itself simply by adding 2 or II.
DTV:
Zapped Again
Tremors 2: Aftershocks
...well I guess any direct to video...
Cliffhanger actually won an award for best trailer that year and look at what a POS that was.
Darkman had a wonderful trailer, but a lot of people felt snookered after seeing it opening weekend. I guess they were expecting another Batman or something, but I wasn't one of them. Great flick.
The Pacific Rim yields pure gold with As Good As It Gets being released in Japan as Mr. Cat Poop and From Beyond released as From Behind in Thailand. Go figure.
Brain Dead being changed to Dead-Alive had a lot to do with the fact that a Bill Pullman & Bill Paxton vehicle of the same name was...
