I bought a Dreamcast system from him that was pretty much DOA...All I got for my efforts were a bunch of excuses. Glad to see what comes around goes around.
From an aesthetics standpoint, OUTSTANDING!! I have to ask, though, how are the accoustics and lighting? It seems with the hard shiny surfaces necessary for your theme, you would get an abundance of reflections, both sound and lighting.
There was a recent discussion on AVS and the consensus was BAD idea: Here's a snippet (posted by Dennis Erskine): That is a sure fire way to ruin your center channel sound. Anytime you have two speakers producing the same sounds you'll have destructive interference, comb filtering and a...
Trying to finish out my whole house audio/video setup...You guys/gals have hooked me up so far, so let's hope the trend continues: Turtlebeach Audiotron or Gateway labled...Don't need the HPNA version, just the Ethernet version. Willing to pay $200 shipped to NC, depending on condition...
Thanks Mike and Dave. I'll check out the local EB's for sure. The E-Bay listing is not too bad, however once you add shipping, it exceeds my current budget.
Thanks...I took a quick look at gamestop and it appears they are all $59.99 + shipping...They're selling them bundled with a game title or other extras which I don't need :frowning:
A few months ago, I bought a Sega Dreamcast, some controllers, and a few games from a fellow member. Unfortunately, the unit itself has never worked consistently and appears to be getting worse. In the middle of gameplay, it will suddenly report no disc found...Sometimes it does it on bootup as...
Microsoft could gain plenty of Market share if/when they ever lower the price of their games.....$50/pop? I wouldn't take a free one knowing I'd have to spend $50 for each game. Okay, maybe a free one, but you get my point :)
2K will limit you to one of the lower end LCD or DLP projectors. You might have to stretch it to 2.5K.

Glenn, Have you tried the newsgroup triangle.forsale? I just did a quick search, and one poster had an 80" Mitsubishi for sale with HDTV inputs, you would need to provide the converter. No follow up as to whether it has sold or not. Good Luck
Since noone mentioned it, maybe I can get one on the cheap...Anybody have Gauntlet legends they want to let go cheap? PM me if you do, and no CD-R versions please.
I have the Naki box, and it doesn't allow on the fly TV/VCR switching which is useful for playing non-VGA compatable games on a VGA display. It also doesn't work with the Utopia boot disc.
Sorry about your predicament. The panny RP56 is a very popular DVD player right now, especially in the Front Projector arena. It's a solid performer and has the Faroudja chipset, making it a great value for the buck. Lots of people have been buying these, so if you are unable to return it...
GONE!! A Grand Slam HomeRun, ala Barry Bonds :)
Thanks Daniel. I received it today. The GE is in perfect shape. I don't what I'm going to do with the other components, although controlling the GE with the RS232 interface has its merits :)
I just got my DC from a fellow member along with my VGA box from Dave E H. Some of the games won't load and flash the message "Incompatible A/V Cable. Please turn off power and insert new cable". Specifically the games Hydro Thunder and Evolution. I ran across the DC-X CD Loader ad. Is that...
Would you be interested in selling the screen only?
If so, send me the details of the screen when you get home :)
