Reports were the wing didn't have damage, yes it was struck in lift-off, but no damage. That's what was said this morning. Who knows what really happened yet? Noone
This is sad indeed, it looks much different than the Challenger did, so it took me awhile to notice the bad signs. I was in 6th grade when we lost the Challenger, I'll never forget that day. This gives me chills all over. My prayers to the crew and their family.
I don't guess its a big deal, It will stay on for a while in Auto, but then it will shut off, even while there is signal there,I just want to make sure everything works. But soundwise, nothing else seems wrong.. Is this a common problem?
Hi all, Our new sub has the off/auto/on features. We set it to auto, but nothing comes out in that mode. When its in the ON position, it's fine. We set the receiver up for a subwoofer and all, I just want to know whats up. Other than that, the sub is great. Thanks in advance.
Who knows anymore? This whole thing is just tiring. The channel I get it on is the HBO east on Dish network, and I'm using the Onkyo 595. With the exception of the known DVD's, which is a seperate issue, this is the only time I get Dropout. I didnt sit through a whole movie on Showtime, but...
Update to my earlier post, up until last week I only had HBO, but we got Showtime. SO I found some DD movies on SHO, with no Dropout, maybe its just HBO, chann 300 on HBO w/ Dish. I would like to know if any of you still experience this?
Hi All, I know this subject has been mentioned many times, and was supposed to be solved on the HBO channels on satellite. It's been a long time since I've used my theatre, turned it on to watch "the Last Castle" on HBO, and there's dropout!!! We have the Onkyo 595, and the hubby and I are...
Wow, sounds like a job for "the Givers" Lex & terry, Ok Maybe you guys dont know who they are. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm glad not all of us women are like that. But good luck to you.
Hi all, Just thought I would chime in. First off, I married a Star Trek lover, his nickname is actually Spock. Anyway, I dont go for the chick flicks myself, I like explosions, violence, and comedy. I was basically forbidden to watch t.v. or movies as a child, so im still catching up on the good...
Audio/Visual wise, everything is set. We just added the final piece (Hitachi 53 widescreen), now all we need is the dedicated home theatre space, (we're in an apartment), and the chance the crank it without worrying about neighbors. We will start looking for houses in January.:D
Well, My Hitachi 53 widescreen is just at a month old. I started doing research as soon as it was delivered. I didn't know the risks of burn-in. This is my first RPTV. After much reading, and little funds, I decided to run the THX optimizer on one of the DVD's. I ended up having the contrast...
OK, I figured that Hitachi could lend a little advice, since it's their product. Here is the response I got, Note the dry dusting suggestion: Thank you for visiting Hitachi's Web site and also for your inquiry. Above all, the most tender care must be applied. Try using a clean, dry cloth...
GRR! Ok, So we're at Walmart last night and I tell hubby that we should go check out the vision center to get some of the cloths. First, he says "Well, Im not asking them for it, you ask" and then it graduates to "Those cloths aren't big enough to clean that screen, and by my experience, they...
LOL, I couldnt live like that, referring to those speakers. It's tough enough to keep up with daily chores. I used to take great pride in detailing my stuff, now it's just another thing on a waiting list. I wish I could get that old feeling back. Ok, enough of that, I've been trying to find out...
Well, I already knew that dust is a wonderful abrasive. My husband restored antique furniture for 15 years. One thing he told me to avoid, was dry dusting. Ive had my set for just at a month and havent touched it to clean. As mentioned before, I usually keep things clean to the best I can, but...
Thanks Mary, glad to be of some help! As for keeping stuff clean, I use to be as determined when it came to electronics, until I had a baby. Now, I'm lucky if I can get half of something dusted. LOL, I cant remember the last time I detailed the A/V rack, which is something I used to love doing...
I think its because paper towels can scratch. Regarding the playstation, I do have my 27 inch tv, which the 53 replaced. Only problem is, its in the bedroom, right next to my 2 yr olds room, so it would be a stretch to attempt to play in there. Although, if I had to I would, my question is, are...
Believe me, I had NO intentions of using paper towels, thats why I was asking what to use. I figured they would be a big no-no for my baby. Anyway, does Lenscrafters charge for these things? Pardon my asking, but does the Walmart eyecenter carry the same thing? thanks again. P.S. Anyone have...
