I am selling my Sony 34xbr800. It is a 34" widescreen CRT HDTV. I have used it sparingly for the past 8 months or so. It is in perfect shape. I do not watch TV so the only useage has been occassional DVDs and some video games. I am asking $1500 for the unit. It comes with the remote. I live...
Ted - Glad to hear you liked Big Calm. If you let me know what artists you are into now - or styles/genres - maybe I can offer some more recommendations.
I did not buy Mario but did get Starfox. I am not a fan of the game at all. It seems to have been developed for 3-6 year age group. The game is pretty much a joke to play. This is actually what I thought Mario would be. But now, I would probably swap and try out Mario instead. Just one view...
I am playing NBA2K3 on a Sony 34xbr800 and it is the most beautiful game I have played. It is just so crisp and clear. I know that the sony upconverts it to 1080i, but this is the first game that I have had this resolution with. I really hope sega sticks with 720p or 1080i in all their titles...
I can't speak for Live, but 2K3 has a great franchise offseason mode. It is similar to NFL2K3. Salary's, drafts, trades, FA's, lots of options. This is one of the key reasons I bought this title. Ask any questions you want about the offseason franchise mode and I will try to answer them.
I have been a lifelong NBALive fan since the original game of 'Lakers vs Celtics'. That was the first in the series btw. Anyway, I have purchased that game every year and loved it on every console until about 2 years ago. EA got sloppy in the transition to the current generation of consoles...
I would second John's recommendation for the JBLnsp-1. I have set this up for friends and it sounds pretty good. I would recommend looking at the refurbed JBL subwoofers on the harmanaudio.com website John linked to. You can steal a sweet sub for under $200. Good luck.
This looks like a really good price for what seems to be the most respected HTIB. For those looking for a HTIB, look here. $497. http://www.6ave.com/product.jsp?x=HTB705DV
I recommend looking at the JBL Northridge Series NSP1 Home Cinema Speaker Package from someplace like jandr. Here is the link.

You can get the speakers for $250 shipped. I have set this up before for people, and everyone is satisfied...
I propose that we setup some rules like this madden league did. Here it the link http://www.maddenfootball.com/html/gameplay_rules.htm . I don't propose that we are that thorough, but some base rules we all agree on would be fair.
