Hi all, I remember reading a few years ago, an interview with FFC and he said that when Hearts of Darkness would be released on DVD, it would be cut, because there was things he didnt want in there, I think reference was made to Martin Sheens heart attack... Anyways can anyone confirm...
Hello, Im in Australia, and Im having a little trouble with that phone number. I dont believe I need to put extra numbers before the call? Any fellow Aussies help out perhaps? Cheers! Ben
Hi all, An odd request, but I need to find out the name of the Looney Tunes cartoon where Tweety somehow becomes this giant red mutant. I think he drinks a serum of something. Ive got the first three Golden Collections so hopefully its on one of those. Any help would be greatly...
Umm Roger, question: Why is it confirmed when you post saying it is, when I started the thread with the non-confusing title 'BDP-S1 Supports Native 24p - Confirmed', and show a photo of the menu with that very option?? Geez this site annoys me sometimes.
Please disregard this info if everyone know, but I had some hands on time with a prototype BDP-S1 at work today and I'm happy to announce that it does output 24P natively. Heres the menu and some pics: http://www.dvdbits.com/images/news//image1.jpg...
I have the R2/R4 version. The audio tracks are: English Home Theatre Mix, French 5.1 and Dutch 5.1. And commentary. There is no original 5.1 mix, no region has that. Im thinking of muxing the audio from the original DVD and putting that onto the new DVD picture. Anyone know how to do that?
I Have yet to see Advent Children, but if its anything like The Spirits Within, the grain and slightly off/faded colours were a definite artistic decision. The Direct to digital transfer that Advent Children features certainly does not introduce any grain that wasnt intended, that much is sure.
My workmate assured me that in the Australian theatrical release of King Kong '76 the topless scene was intact, as he was quite young at the time and took notice of such things :-)
I never believed him so I decided to do some research.
As it turns out, in some European prints and evidently...
Hi All, Just wondering if the R1 Matrix Ultimate Edition bonus commentaries viewable on DVD Rom are online yet? I have the R4 version, and still after a year of release the link here says they are still in production. Can anyone let me know if the R1 version has these? Cheers, Ben
I had the R4 previous version and my R1 new edition arrived today (for the proper pitch), and in comparison I feel the transfer is a bit brighter, and the compression looks a bit more relaxed. The previous R4 had a heap of alternate language extra audio tracks as well, which the new R1 does not...
Hey guys, Quick question, does anyone know what is happening with the DIC animated DVDs such as Inspector Gadget and Super Mario Brothers? There was 1 DVD released of both starting from the first episodes, and presumably they were going to release the others in chronological order.. but that...
Hello all, I was about to purchase the R1 Astro Boy 2003 Series DVD collection, and I noticed that the aspect ratio is 1.33:1. Now, the R2/R4 DVDs which have been released are in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 (16x9 enhanced), and they look very nice. Anyways, could someone tell me what the...
Gday, Cant help with Boondock Saints.. As far as I am concerned, yes, it is misleading, even though it was a simple mistake. With the Castle though, it was filmed in 1.33:1, but screened at a matted 1.85:1 aspect ratio. According to Rob Sitch, it was intended to be 1.33:1. Cheers, Ben
On May 5th, 20th Century Fox will release a new special edition of Independence Day in region 4 which will include DTS. Have a look at www.dvdbits.com for all the details.
