Jesse, have you seen any Azumanga? It's a hilarious series. I finished Hunter X Hunter not too long ago. I recommend this series to anyone who has access to it. It gets better at the second half with Krapacia's story of the Spiders and the Green Island game. Hope they continue with more...
I was there too. It was a blast. I'm going this year with my friends as well. But before Otakon, my first con for this year is Anime Boston :) They did a good job on the dvd though, fun stuff, and it's free. You have to pay for shipping, but it isn't much.
