Audio - Digital Coax to Optical (tos-link) convertor

Thanks for all your help. I ended up purchasing the Digital Coax To Optical converter at Parts Express. I have had it for about a few weeks and can honestly say I've had no problems with it. I sense no lack of sound quality, no buzz, hum or external noise what so ever. I recommend it...

Audio - Digital Coax to Optical (tos-link) convertor

Keith, Good question. I assumed that since my Dolby Digital light on my receiver was illuminated that it supported 5.1. It could be the case that my Cable Box doesn't support 5.1 or Time Warner doesn't broadcast any 5.1 encoded programs. Anyone else with Time Warner Digital Cable have this...

Hi guys. Thanks again for all your help. I ended up buying the Digital Coaxial to Digital Optical (toslink) converter at partsexpress.com. Seems to work good. I see the Dolby Digital light on but I only always see Stereo/Virtual/Dolby Prologic II as a surrond mode. No Dolby 5.1, even on...

Audio - Digital Coax to Optical (tos-link) convertor

My new digital cable box only supports Digital Audio Coaxial out and I have run out of coax ins on my Denon 1802 however I have some Optical ins left. I was wondering if anyone knew of something cheap that would convert the Coax to Optical. Thanks, -Derek

what is the smallest sub possible that can go under 25 hz?

Derek, This driver just isn't going to have much low end output in the home environment in a .88ft^3 enclosure. I don't doubt that you're getting great SPL's in a car, but from a quick simulation this driver in a .88ft^3 enclosure would be about 20dB down at 20Hz. If you use an input power of...

what is the smallest sub possible that can go under 25 hz?

If you're into a super budget and want super low bass, a small footprint and awsome SQ. The Image Dynamics IDQ v.2 dual voice coil car audio subwoofer cannot be beat. The 12" sub will go down to 14hz respectively and will only consume .88 cu feet (Sealed enclosure). This sub can be...

    ~$500 Receiver comparison?

By far, the Denon 1802. CheapHomeTheater.com deamed it as the current leader of AV Receivers under $500 I just notice a small pop noise when I turn up the volume sometimes. Anyone else notice this?

    Denon 1802 - click/tick/crackle/pop noise when Volume turned up/down

Ahh ok, so I am not alone here. I agree, the tick is at the same volume, regardless of what volume is set to. Do you find it ticks at the same volume level every time?

    Denon 1802 - click/tick/crackle/pop noise when Volume turned up/down

Ahh. Was the tick at the same volume level each time? Am I just being anal about it?

    Denon 1802 - click/tick/crackle/pop noise when Volume turned up/down

Just bought a brand new Denon 1802 receiver on Saturday and after setting it up and testing it, I noticed that when I turn the volume up or down I can sometimes hear a clicking noise through the speakers. I can oddly reproduce this easily by switching to any audio/video source, changing the...
