Quoted for truth. I watched this from Netflix last week, with the audio from a receiver that's almost seven years old. The "lossy" DTS sounded fantastic. I plan to upgrade the receiver soon, but haven't had any problems with any DTS-HD tracks so far.
One of the reasons I dove into HD-DVD was because the standard DVD of this title is absolutely hideous. Flip your disc over and watch it awhile. Pretty sure you'll notice the difference.
Agreed. Well, except that I still spin disc 2 from OSI 1 quite often. I'm loving this CD -- I think I may like it even more than the first record. I agree that this one sounds more like a heavy CK, but that's not a bad thing. Favorite tracks right now: "Sure You Will," "Go," "Better" and...
Hands down, best bootleg ever. Just gave this a listen, and while I'm not going so far as to say I prefer it to the SACD, I do love it. Sure is nice to have the choice.
I guess I'm in the minority as well. After a slow start, I loved it. Maybe I'm too easily satisfied. I wish Cameron Crowe would write me a girlfriend. :D
That was definitely our first glimpse of digital Yoda from Episode I. I nearly fell out of my chair -- can't believe none of the reviews have pointed this out.
Glad to see this disc getting some attention. It's fast becoming my favorite Fates album, and "Heal Me" is defintely my favorite Fates song.
Get thee a copy of Octane immediately. It's fantastic. Neal who? :) Kidding, I love One as well.
I only have 5 of the SACDs, but this one is the best in terms of content and sonics. The stereo and multi-channel versions sound fantastic. Of all the Dyalan albums I've heard, Blood on the Tracks is by far my favorite, regardless of format. For 6 bucks through yourmusic.com it's a steal.
Dude, get a copy of the Blood on the Tracks SACD -- your opinion will change. Another great deal -- the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road SACD/DVD set for 12 bucks.
Amen to that. This is the disc I always use to impress people. The Beck disc is very good also. I'd also throw in the recent Allman Brothers' releases, Live at the Fillmore and Eat a Peach.
Yep, and I noticed the "hiccup" on first viewing. However, I was watching kind of late in the evening, when other people were trying to sleep, so I really didn't notice any problems after that. I have since listened again with the volume up (considerably), and I can definitely hear the...
I noticed the obvious skip in both the audio and video in "New Millennium," but the sound seemed fine after that. I'll have to listen more closely for the things you mentioned. I have to agree that this DVD is fantastic; DT is my favorite band, so it's hard to be objective, but for...
I have a bad feeling we'll see this on DVD-A soon with the extra tracks. I went ahead and bit the bullet, though, and this sounds fantastic. I can really only compare this to the "Deluxe Edition" CD (I have only memories of hearing this on vinyl), and it's never sounded better to me. I went...
CC definitely sent you the wrong item. My copy came in from them today, and it's clearly labeled as a hybrid SACD. On the front, the standard circular sticker letting you know it will play on CD and SACD players, and the SACD and DSD logos are prominent on the back.

From your keyboard to some label's release schedule.... I answered my own question from an earlier post. This is available for $12.99 (plus tax) at circuitcity.com. Currently on backorder, but I placed an order anyway.
I'd heard of RT before, but Gilmour's version of that song convinced me to check out a Thompson CD. I started w/The Old Kit Bag (Lee, get this CD immediately if not sooner) about a year ago and I've been enjoying his stuff since. I can't wait to hear this SACD, but from the link this appears...
