I'm really just looking to pick up a cheap LCD to use while I'm out of town in an apartment, then either bedroom or pc monitor use when I get home. I have narrowed it down to 2......I think! Any opinions on these, or other suggestions? Vizio VA26L 26" Toshiba 26AV500U 26"
Well, I bought the S-CenterII tonight. So, I guess I'll have to listen to it and see if I like it. I can always sell it if I don't like it right! We'll see.:)
I just bought the N38ii's today. So, now I really need some center suggestions. Center : ? S-CenterII or N-CenterII Fronts : N38II (2) Surrounds : N26II (3) Sub : SA-WM40 (2) Thanks again
The Onkyo finally arrived the other day. I have it hooked up to my tv for the center, until my center gets here and two pairs of JBL N26II. For now, I couldn't be happier. This receiver just blows my pioneer away. If you are looking for a great receiver for less than $400, you have to give this...
Since the N and S centers are all discontinued, I can't really listen to two of them. I still don't think it would be too good to mix the two series across the front. I guess I could try the S-center, I was just wanting to hear from someone who had tried to mix the two. I kinda liked the EC-35...
I just got some new things. Onkyo tx-sr601 2pr. JBL N26II Old things. 2 Sony SA-WM40 subs. I'm planning on getting the N38IIs for the mains in this system. My problem is with the center. I Had the NSP-1 set, and wasn't too impressed with the N-center. So, that being said, what center should...
Well, I just ordered the Onkyo TX-SR601s. Now I have to save up and get some speakers. At least it is coming together now. Thanks fot all the input, Tim
What would be a better deal, the Harman avr-325, avr-230, or the onkyo tx-s601? They are all in my price range. I'm just haveing problems narrowing it down. Please help! I'm about to get something. I haven't really looked at the HK, but they don't look too bad. Thanks, Tim
So do you think the Onkyo 501 will be as good as the pioneer 850 I used to have? I haven't dealt much with the 501. But the $200 price tag is real nice. I just don't want to get it and later wish I would have saved my money and got the poineer 912, or the Onkyo 601. Thanks, Tim
Hey Pablo, how does the 912 go with the nsp-1? That is the receiver I'm really leaning toward. The 850 I had was pretty good. I don't think I would be buying another one if I still had it! I think the 912 is a newer model of the 850. Hopefully I'll get something soon!
I can get the whole setup now, HTIB, Or get one piece at a time. You know, just the receiver or speakers. Then wait until I have saved some cash and get the rest. I'm really not looking to replace anything that I get for some time, so I am willing to wait for some of it. But I can't afford to...
Here was my setup: TV JVC AV-36F703 DVD Panasonic DVD-RP62 REC Pioneer vsx-d850s Speakers JBL NSP-1 Subs Sony SA-WM40 (2) Playstaion 2 and a cheap VCR. I really enjoyed the setup. It worked great compaired to my old setup. Here's the problem, someone stole most of it! All I had left...
I was looking at the same setup. I decided to buy everything seperate because I wanted better speakers. I bought the D850S receiver, the JBL NSP-1 and 2 Sony SA-WM40 12"subs. I spent about $200 more than the 710, but I got some great deals on all these components.
Thanks for the help.
I can place the rears slightly (about 1 foot) in front of my seat. What if I put them there and aim them backwards? Would that would do the trick?
Thanks again,
Tim
I just purchased the following gear.
Receiver : Pioneer VSX-D850S
Speakers : JBL NSP-1
Subwoofers : (2)Sony SA-WM40
I plan to buy the JBL N26 soon for the front and move one of the N24's to the rear center.
Now for the problem.
I can't put my side speakers directly to the side of my...
