pixel dropout? moire'? overall for the $'s and the dark environment i like the xv-z1u, b4 i spend major $$$'s on the cineperf-YES, the screen HAS to be perforated-i'd like some opinions. i've chosen 1.5 gain and 90" diagonal, 4:3 aspect ratio. thanks! steve.
thanks for the info, i work for a sony retailer, and my first ? on this forum was about this dvd/sacd player. sounds like it may well be the next piece of gear to bring home. will follow-up. steve.
anyone see/buy/use this unit yet? looks like it has alot of similar features as the es9000. wanting multi-channel sacd vs. dvd-a because i work at a sony retailer. what about the 'chroma-bug'? does THIS particular unit have the chipset w/the chroma-bug problem? how bad is that problem anyway...
check out: www.klipsch.com and go to the reference series speakers. rf-7's l,r; rc-7 ctr; rs-7 surrounds, and a ksw or rsw sub. i'd put 'em up against ANYTHING! we have energy exl 26 and exl 28p (powered sub in ea. speaker) with the center and surrounds and an energy 12"sub at great prices...
6.1-definitely! my sony strda777es has been upgraded to 'virtual matrix 6.1' which simulates a center rear, and the difference was way more impressive than i expected, so w/a real ctr.rear, AND a wide/large room, 6.1 would make a big difference. I OWN KLIPSCH, i also sell/like energy.
hey gang! i'm new to this forum, i've visited b4, and i beleive i will be able to help w/?'s. i've been selling a/v equipment for 10 yrs., and installing for 7 yrs. i currently work at a sony/integra/jbl/energy/sound dynamics/yamaha/sharp/and...bose dealer. i've got klipsch: klf-30's l,r; c-7...
i see you already got a speaker, but my center is a klipsch c-7 w/2 8"woofers, good to about 65 Hz. def tech also, as previously noted, makes centers w/pwrd sub built-in, and three identical full-range speakers across the front (or all 5-ch's) is a great choice-if you can arrange them.
