Hi all, I have a PMI question - and if I should start a new thread, let me know. Is it *always* better to do an 80/15/5 - or x/y/z type mortgage to avoid PMI? I understand that PMI is not tax deductible, but I also understand that you don't get 100% of your interest back either. My...
Mike, If you try them - let me know what you think - I think you will be impressed, and I hear they last about 5-6 years, and still look like new. Sean
ok, don't laugh at me here, but I just found the best pair of Khakis ever. Bill's Khakis. They are a bit more expensive (95 bucks/pair), but they will last you for life. I had the same problem you did - my Dockers tattered, and I had to replace them every year. Now, I can wear these things...
I'm up for this. Last night, three kids, who obviously knew each other - teamed up on me, and destroyed me. They just sniped me in my spawning location. Both annoying and demoralizing :).

Thanks
Just a quick tip - I joined Netflix just to watch this documentary. For 20 bucks, you can watch it once. Of course, if you want to own it - that won't help you.
Jack/Allen - I think you are dead on with the underscanning theory. I just put in a Gamecube game, which does not overscan at all - in fact, it underscans. There are slight jagged edges on the right and left of the TV, which go away when I play with the brightness (just like Allen said)...
It is about a week and 1/2 old. I know I could return it - but that is a huge hassle. Although, if someone thinks it is the right thing to do, I will probably do it. I can try to repeat it at the store - I don't know another person with this set. I could also have Sony come out and look at...
Allan, Thanks for the info. So, I should just deal with it - since it really isn't all that bad, anyway - I was just trying to see if my TV was defective at all. Thanks, Sean
Ok - let me update w/ a bit more data: - I used the AVIA disc to lock down the problem. I used the letterbox geometry tests on AVIA, and I determined that the red line only appears at 30 and 50 IRE. at 100 IRE it is absent. Also, if I adjust the picture/brightness high enough, it goes...
Hello - I did see a similar post on this, but I'm not sure if what I am experiencing is the same - so here we go: I recently bought a Sony Wega KV-32FS13. Today, I calibrated it with Avia. Now, whenever I change channels, there is a redish (although it is more like a rainbow, I think) bar...
Thanks again all! I have decided to buy some Polk RT 25i speakers to replace my old school Monitors. The RT 25i is a shielded speaker. I had the Monitors near the TV for less than 24 hours - should I be concerened? The TV was unplugged for most of the time. I noticed no artifacts during that...
Thanks for the advice. It may be time to buy a new pair of shielded speakers - although I'm sure my wife will not approve :). For the time being, I will move them three feet away from the TV.
Hello, I just purchased a new Sony Wega KV-32FS12. I am a bit concerned about placing my old Polk Monitor 5 speakers near it. I do have a shielded center speaker (also a Polk). I have them about 2 feet away - but I am worried that over time they will discolor the TV. I would like to...
Hello,
I have been reading the forum for months - but this issue (Godfather packaging) is the one that acutally got me to register and post. I don't know what that says about me, but I have this to add:
I bought the set this morning (my Costco actually did get it in), and I opened it right...
