Regarding the "historical inaccuracies"... It's always amazing, how this is brought up to critize some movies, but totally ignored for others.

@Barry Ghostbusters is especially good with the Commentary by Ramis ("That's where I always get cut off in the P&S releases"). I'm almost sorry there is no P&S on the disc for a direct comparison...

Why not use a notification like [MAR, OR-MR] while omitting the ":1", for modified movies. i. e. [MAR 2,35-1,78] would be formatted from 2,35:1 to 1,78:1 (16:9)

The only problem is the NTSC/PAL issue. Depending on the model of the DVD player tht simple solution could be to set the player to output PAL60. As an alternative he could try to connect the player with the TV via RGB.

I think you need to check your receiver settings, it seems you manually activated DPL processing for all analogue signals on your Aux-input. Most DVDs indicate whether a DD 2.0 Track is DPL or plain stereo.
