I just replace a rotel rsx1056 with a marantz sr8002.Finally connected the marantz today.It's in the early stages but i will tell you that there is no compromise between the rotel and the marantz for SQ.That includes 2 channel.I can only assume the marantz will get better since its early.

FWIW,i disconnected my rsx1056 the other day and recieved my marantz sr8002 yesterday.Havent been able to set it up yet.The marantz i think would be a great option especially if SQ is also important to you.Additionally i also had marantz prior to the rotel and i dont think you'll go wrong with...

Marant sr8002 also has toroidal transfomer.

A mix of new(slightly)and used my speakers were approx 2,300. would of been about 4,500. new.Add the sub an add'l 800.approx.

My rec. allows me to set mains,center,surrounds individually from 40-200(increments of 10).If i leave mains to 80 i assume the sub to 80 would also be right.The surrounds to 100-120 has me a little confused.Should'nt they also be at 80.
