Warren Buffet Giving Away Almost $40 Billion!

I thought Buffet was kind of on the liberal side in his politics? Maybe I have the wrong impression. I'm just asking.

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

This is the best view I have seen yet : Materazzi said a lot. And from my point of view I don't see Zidane's "sneering" or "arrogance". It was more like WTF? Just saying. :) http://rapidshare.de/files/25416761/...razzi.wmv.html

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

I agree with Alex. In addition, Emerson has been sub-par. As soon as Gilberto came in the game the attacks up the middle subsided. That's his job, protect the back four. Ghana was still able to exploit the right side.

    Anybody Use a French Press?

True dat. Our was a gift from my wife's German aunt who couldn't believe we didn't have one and were still using the stove to heat water. Everyone in Germany uses them she said. Much more efficient! So there, Rain :) I also use it for anything else that requires hot water just to make things...

    Anybody Use a French Press?

A triumph of taste over convenience! In addition to all the suggestions above, get an electric kettle. It boils the water super fast so you don't wait for your coffee very long.

OMG, the easiest thing is to post that you bought a $200 power cable(yes power cable) and that you noticed a HUGE/NO difference in your a/v performance. Of course the current thread on that is probably still active. :D

Letter to Paul McCartney....from ex-"Mr. Mills"

LOL Andrew, we did partake of a few pints at the Arsenal pub after the match and there was plenty of that banter. It was all good though. We fit right in with the zingers!!

Letter to Paul McCartney....from ex-"Mr. Mills"

I made my wife read it last night and she thought it was a riot too. I have to say, I never really watched many British comedies but I enjoyed the British humour first hand when I visited London for the first time earlier this year -the cab driver, at the airline counter, at the pub, at the...

I post over there too. I like that forum for technical stuff. I like to read this one for content related stuff. I post more frequently over there since my interest in front display technology has grown in the last few years. There's a lot of bi-posters. :)

Cell phones, Rude-Commute, AGONY -- Forced an iPod on Me (I hate this!)

Michael, I feel for you man. Embrace the tecnology is right approach. All is not lost. For example, you don't have to listen to music on the ipod. You can get podcasts on many different subjects you may be interested in. What about audio-books? Any other ideas for content?

Saint Patrick -- Cool... the Day -- eh, not so much

Yeah, the difference is they won't even let them IN the door on ST. Paddy's day :D It's been a long time for me since I haven't lived in the area for fifteen years but I also remember that you were given hints before they threw you out, if you weren't drinking fast enough. Also you must order...

Lens shift on the Sanyo Z4

John, the z4 has the same lenshift as the z2. Take a look at this page, it's better than any description I can try to write: http://www.sanyo-lcdp.com/z2/setting1.html That said, if you use the lenshift to the very extreme , there might be some minor pq issues that appear. In my experience...

Your most favorite decade overall? Mine was the 80's so far anyhow.

Oh come on George, not fair to compare the Beatles to Madonna or Milli Vanilli any more than U2, REM or Nirvana to Tiny Tim or Smothers Brothers :) Strictly speaking about rock music, the 80's were great IMO. It was a rebirth of sorts. Old corporate rock was dying. I could not relate to any of...
