School of Rock is most definately worthy of a blind buy. Orange County however is not in my opinion + it can usually be found for $9.99 now anyway in many stores, so you would only be saving a $1 anyway considering Best Buy and Circuit City both have School of Rock for $15.99 this week

This is the DVD that was pulled by Artisan in June right before its release due to clearance issues I believe. Let me know if youre interested and what you have to trade for in return

Im guessing nothing is wrong, but its the stretch mode that you're in. Put in a DVD and see if you notice the same thing, if not then you can be fairly positive that's what it is.

Nice Review Ron. I'm pleasantly surprised that this wasn't given a full-frame only release as Disney as been know to do this in the past to their family geared films. I may use the $2 off coupon inside "Sweet Home Alabama" and pick this one up.

A coworker recommended this movie to me, anyone have an opinion on this movie? Is it a good blind buy? Is the transfer very good? Sound? etc

I for one am glad they decided to label it as a "Vista Series" title. This lessens the chance that they'll double dip it later on.

Just throwing my 2 cents it, but to those who haven't seen this movie first, it may not be a good blind buy. Plus given the fact that it's going to be a double dip, some may want to consider renting it first anyway. It's definately one of those movies people seem to either love it or hate it.

Absolutely awful, and I don't say that about many movies. In fact I usually like movies like XXX, I'm not sure if it was the lame plot or Vin Diesel, but something about this movie really irritated me

I would expect a release announcement very soon after the holidays. If I were guessing I would say Late March / Early-Mid April.
