*** Official "MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING" Discussion Thread

I'm a first gen Greek-American that loves the Greek culture and after seeing MBFGW with a large group of my Greek friends, I just can't wait till this movie comes out on DVD. Yes, there were some depictions that were far-stretched but hey, this movie was, in majority, a comedy. I laughed hard...

Crackling from new speaker. Is it broken?

I had a crackling sound from one of my drivers and it turned out that the foam gasket that helps seal the driver to the baffle was broken. To my amazement, the majority of my drivers had the same problem. It turns out that the gaskets wrapped around the screws as the drivers were being...

A possible solution to the Outlaw 950 green power button.

Okay, so I had some extra time on my hands. I thought it would be cool if Outlaw made a power button out of an actual bullet casing end. It kind of fits their theme. I also recessed & illuminated the panel buttons. Enjoy, Nikos

What didn't sound right about your speaker? An AVIA (or equivalent) disc cannot help you find/solve all problems. If you can explain in a bit more detail what may be wrong, then we could help you troubleshoot the problem a bit better. Nikos

    Fuzzy/Muddy/Crackly sounds from speakers

Your speakers may be directed more bass than they can handle causing the the suspension to warp and your voicecoils to heat up (distortion). Look to see if there's a set up menu in your receiver and try setting all your speakers to small. If you could hear the same distortion at low levels...

    DVD Layer Change

I recently read that the layer changes are noticed because the software (DVDs) are dumping their cache and switching layers. Some DVD players perform this task quicker than others (ie Denons) but there will ALWAYS be some sort of noticeable pause if the software was designed that way. There...

    Light bulb killer

I purchased a DefTech PF15TL+ subwoofer and tried it out with JPIII. The addition of that subwoofer added an entirely new, and enjoyable exprerience as it immersed me deeper into the movie. Even though the sub is about 20+ feet away, it shook my recliner with every step the dinosaur took...
