Morgan,
This is a development tool... i.e. software for development pusposes.
The actual sound processing chip on teh X-Box will be a custom unit from nVidia. Of which will most likly do almsot all audio calculations on chip, rather then offloading it to the processor.
Even on my dsesktop...
ARGH!!! I had a nice long message typed out, i opened up a seconed window to open a link a friend sent to me, a stupid X10 add popped up, and instead of hitting the X in the upper right, i accidently slipped and missed which opened the X10 hompage in THIS window, which cleared the message...
I still say that the small mini DVD's are simply Nintendo's way of switching to an "in" media to look good on paper, while still holding them selves in their own "we are perfect" world. Just like they did with cartridges.
The fact that all of the new media must be purchased, and then pressed...
I have to recemend WinDVD as well.
Especially the new version of WinDVD, 3.0.
With the ability to decode DTS soundtracks, and improved video decoding, there is really no other program that can touch it. Plus i think it looks better then just about any other DVD player when using a TV output.
Well, ill put it this way.
I think the mirror is a bad idea. However, they are selling it to a JAPANESE audiance, and the Japanese audiance like flashy silvery shiney techno futurist audio video components. Look no further then Sony, and their line of silvery look alike products if you dont...
Hey! Wheres all the people that should be in here pissing and moaning, and throwing a temper tantrum about how the X-Box doesnt have any Japanese developers, and how bragging about how much mario fondles their nuts?
Oh...wait, maybe its becuase now that companys like Tecmo, Sega, and Namco are...
quote: The people that don't like it didn't play the first two right? What you're complaining about it what Gran Tourismo is and is lots of people love it because it's deep that's not just mindlessly running around a track hardly ever using the brakes.
Totally the exact oposite. Ive played the...
Somthing to notice is that most of these people are on DSL or cable. I knwo that @home and Road Runner have been hammered HARD by CR and CRII. And once it gets onto a nodes server it then boadcasts out to all modems, and if your running an NT bassed OS, then your screwed. The problem is the...
I cant really add anything, becuase msot of it has already been said.
But what i will do is support what everyone has said, and agree that its really worth getting a DC. Its a VERY fun system. And well worth $80 to get one, IMHO.
I had a similar problem with my AOpen DVD player in Win98SE.
What fixed it for me was letting Windows recognize the drive, then going into my system properties, and removing the DVD drive from teh hardware list, and then rebooting, and letting it detect it all over again. That seemed to fix my...
Gran Turismo has gotten simpler and simpler from GT1.
The sad thing is that each US release has been simpler then its Japanese counterpart.
In GT1 there was no such thing as antilock brakes, or traction control devices. It was all about finesse, and all of the cars naturally oversteered.
When...
The Platnum comes with a front drive bay of connectors called the Live! Drive. And a large software bundle of audio editing tools.
The Gamer comes with a software bundle of a couple of games, and a few demos.
The MP3+ comes with encoding software for making MP3's etc.
Beyond that the boards...
You still play CS?!
Wow, im impressed, forget the admins, they have always had big egos. That will never change.
Its the damn cheaters. And Punk Buster doesnt do jack, as soon as a new PB is released, a new wall hack is churned out.
Screw CS, ive actually taken to playing UT (as much as i...
