Count me in as another fan of Kirkman's great "The Walking Dead" series that is eagerly awaiting this on AMC. Given Frank Darabont's track record, I'm hoping for a faithful adaptation of the series.
Great thread! This is the first time I've seen this thread, since I don't frequent the After Hours Lounge too much, but I want to contribute my list of comic book reads. I don't collect "floppies" or single issue comic books anymore. I mainly collect hardcovers and TPBs since they look much...
Good luck, Kal! The entertainment world just lost one of its most recognizable and talented ethnic actors, but it's Washington DC's gain. Hopefully, he uses this opportunity to research his eventual comeback film - "Harold and Kumar Go To The White House".
Not very good news for Blockbuster - Blockbuster says it may not be able to continue - U.S. business- msnbc.com I'm hoping that they don't go under, as I love my Total Access subscription. But I guess this means that in this age of $5 DVDs and instant video streaming, maybe the video...
Sorry to revive an old thread, but my question is kinda related to this one. Anyway, I'm trying to get DirecTV installed in my house, basically because my wife wants the Filipino Channel (which is only carried by DirecTV) and I want the NFL Network (my cable company doesn't carry it). I also...
Sorry to resurrect an old thread - but I just had to chime in - we need a Singles SE DVD. Even the crappy Cameron Crowe movie "Elizabethtown" had a better DVD treatment. And I agree with Beetlejuice, True Lies, and The Rocketeer.
FYI - For those who want to watch reruns of this great show, Boomerang just recently started showing episodes of Justice League. Last night they showed the "Hereafter" story arc (one of the best arcs from Season 2). It's on at 10:30 PM CDT.
Great episode last night. Lots of great acting all around. That trailer for next week's episode makes me almost want to watch Grey's Anatomy more than the Superbowl. So how lucky is George two have two beautiful women living in the same house with him?
Any idea if they can get the soundtrack reissued on CD? The soundtrack was one of the first LPs I ever bought and I remember that there were a lot of great songs on it.
Just watched a rerun of the first episode of the Equalizer on Universal HD, and surprisingly it was in 16x9! Just wondering if anybody knows if this is the way it was originally shot or are we seeing a "rematted" version?
I listened to their CD at the Tower Records store. It reminded me of a male version of the Cocteau Twins in terms of the texture of their music. Good stuff.
I think this depends on which side of the pond you are on. Living in the States, you definitely would have heard more of Springfield. In Europe (and also The Philippines, where I grew up), Ultravox and Nik Kershaw were a lot more popular than the actor-rock star.
I was lucky enough to have bought Mickey Mouse In Living Color Vol.1 with an almost mint-condition tin for $10 at a used CD Store in our area. I've also seen the Costco boxed sets around here.
I second the following: The Cure - In Orange The Cure - Show (my LD needs to be replaced) Tears For Fears - Going To California (maybe this will happen now that TFF has reunited) anything by Joy Division and New Order
I finally had the time today to start watching the Alien Quadrilogy and started off with the DC of Alien. Major disappointment there as this disc appears to be defective. I tried playing it on my Pioneer DV-525, where it locked up at around the 58:00 mark. Then I tried picking up from there with...
