Hi Folks, I really dont mean to startup the whole speed-up debate again, but PAL-Speedup was the main reason my entire SD library is Region 1 even though I live in Region 2. With the XBox360 HD-DVD add-on coming out in a month or so, this is probably the best value option for me to jump...
3 seasons of coupling so far I think - the one with the mis-understanding over language has to be one of the best. 2 seasons of The Office, both 6 eps each - season 2 is just too funny, and unfortunately the last. :frowning: I'm not sure how many 'David Brents' you get over there in the...
Ric, Are you substituting some other case with this artwork or are you proposing attaching these covers over the top of the silver boxes. Oh, I'm talking NextGen boxset, just realised I hadnt mentioned that. Thanks, Mark
No Rob, no glaring mistake, but as Wayne said the track order on the Laserdisc is slightly incorrect. I think given the limitations of Laserdisc, rather than try and squeeze Wall II and Days on to the same side as Moon, they put it on the 3rd side. This is evident by the fact that the...
Having the insight that I do as a Brit....I find it unbelievable that anybody would believe that bullshit story. All of the coughing that co-incides with the answers was enhanced to tie in with what Celador wanted to convey...the truth is that they lost their ratings because of the 9/11 tradgedy...
Just my 2 cents, but I feel the best episodes this year have been character driven - last weeks with Trip screwing up in a big way and a few weeks back with Travis back on his old ship - I would like more episodes like those. TNG and DS9 were both great shows because the characters were so...
Greetings, Recently made the foray into burning my own DVDs and I have some overscan questions. I copied all my footage from my DV camera to my PC and then burnt it to a DVD-R. When I watch this DVD-R using the PC, all of the image is visible on the screen...when I transfer this disc into my...
Do not read anything about it....nothing!! and go buy it right now, then see how long you last without having to watch episode after episode. Definitely worth a blind purchase. Mark
Havent experienced any of the other problems ppl are describing but I do get terrible pixelation on my Panasonic DVD-A7 just before the layer change....the sound drops out as well.
I suspect this one is just a bad disc. :frowning:
I cant site any examples, perhaps an oversight on my part, but I feel the S4 DVDs are excellent in their framing (barring the already mentioned faults). I cant put my finger on it but alghough the show was clearly shot with a 4:3 safe area, the framing just looks top-notch on 16:9 sets, IMO...
Oscar, I agree - an outline of Vaders head in the shadow it was. An earlier question asked about whether the ships were leaving from Coruscant or Genosis - i'm pretty sure i saw buildings in the backgroud so you gotta figure it was Coruscant...right?
Unfortunately the auditorium didnt shake for me :frowning: and the bloody cinema isnt answering their phone.
In answer to your question Dan, it was UGC in Crawley, screen 8.
- 'You want to see this movie again'
- 'I want to see this movie again'
Well, I loved the film but the .1 was missing from the 5.1 presentation. Everytime the Force was used or a ship or explosion occurred there was nothing.
When Dooku uses the force against Anakin/Obi-wan, there was silence in the theatre.
Anybody have a contact number for Fox in the UK...
Hi Folks,
Putting aside that the image quality on Season 1 Buffy DVD is pretty poor, my question is if the Region 1 image is better than the Region 2/4 offering. My thinking is it will be slightly better as there is no standards conversion added on top - can anybody confirm this please before I...
..goes to Tomb Raider. 2 minutes before the end of the movie - whats that all about? Can anybody think of any other oddly placed layer changes?
Before I get berrated for even buying the movie in the first place - I really enjoyed it! Was just like a video game, which I think was the intention...
Patrick Stewarts voice-over at the beginning of X-Men will help with smoothness and clarity, and I guess the Matrix has a pretty busy centre channel if you wanna check it under 'stress'
