I'm fairly certain that it was X-Files Season 1 at the $150 price point (with no discounts). I just completed the series in the slim cases (Seasons 6-9) and I've enjoyed the majority of the series. Season 1 remains one of my favorites.
I've bought quite a few of the complete series sets, with a couple on my wish list: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Chosen Collection Sex & the City: Complete Series Gift Set Friends: The One with All the Seasons (wooden box set) M*A*S*H: The Martinis & Medicine Collection Homicide - Life...
Sybil finally made it to DVD and I snatched it up quickly, now I'm waiting on my next most wanted: The Long Way Home (1981) with Tim Hutton - it breaks my heart every time I think about it now and Running Brave (1983) w/ Robby Bensen

I rented this movie through Netflix based on the strength of both Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums nd couldn't get through the first 1/2 hour. I'll give it another try based on the enthusiastic support in this thread. I must be patient and let the movie flow.
The show runs in syndication here in Chicago and I assume it does well - I have no numbers to support either way. I will definitely buy this set, but I'm not sure about any of the other seasons (if they are released). The first season was outstanding.
When I saw the original date of this thread, I was extremely excited and scrolled down to the bottom to look for a release date! :frowning: None found....
Count me in for the entire set - it's the only TV show my family agrees that we should own (nevermind that I have picked up quite a few...
Sold - I will pass the rental stop and head straight to the purchase line. I took a quick look at another review site and it received raves. Thanks for the excellent and very enthusiastic review!
Very good news for both movies - and I am particularly exited about The Color Purple. I haven't seen this movie since it was having its theatrical run.
Best: Any drama/speech class
Worst: Any statistics course
Easiest: Physic
Hardest: This one still haunts me - anyone that asks
me why I didn't finish my math minor gets an earful:
Mathematical Logic - I have no idea how I passed this class, it still is the hardest thing that I have...
Nice looking packaging! I saw the bulk of the seasons and plan to pick up the entire series gradually.... as mentioned earlier, this looks to be an expensive set that will take some time to obtain.
I plan to add this to my collection and have been anxiously awaiting its release.
I was too young to watch this when it originally aired, but will jump into every aspect of this series once I get it.
It's good to hear that Warner has done a fine job on this series!
Thanks for the list Edwin.
Seeing this list of nominees only makes me realize how few movies I've seen this past year! :frowning: I love movies and with work and home keeping me busier than ever, watching movies is at the bottom of my list, unfortunately.
I'm really looking forward to In the...
I haven't posted an update since at least January....
The Graduate out of
Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft were both outstanding in
this story. I still can't believe that this is the first time that I am seeing this film. The soundtrack was great as well.
