What's the FIRST Tv on DVD you ever bought?

I'm fairly certain that it was X-Files Season 1 at the $150 price point (with no discounts). I just completed the series in the slim cases (Seasons 6-9) and I've enjoyed the majority of the series. Season 1 remains one of my favorites.

    Why I love 'Bottle Rocket'.

I rented this movie through Netflix based on the strength of both Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums nd couldn't get through the first 1/2 hour. I'll give it another try based on the enthusiastic support in this thread. I must be patient and let the movie flow.

    the best "slow-walk" scene....

I would have to say Last of the Mohicans when Hawkeye saves Cora in the battle following their surrender to the opposing regime. I love that scene.

Directors Most Underrated Actor of All Time

Yes, Peter Sellers. Being There is an outstanding movie. I'll add John Malkovich - a true talent, but yet to be recognized for his ability.

Will KING OF THE HILL Sell?

The show runs in syndication here in Chicago and I assume it does well - I have no numbers to support either way. I will definitely buy this set, but I'm not sure about any of the other seasons (if they are released). The first season was outstanding.

Best/Worst/Easiest/Hardest College Class You Ever Took

Best: Any drama/speech class Worst: Any statistics course Easiest: Physic Hardest: This one still haunts me - anyone that asks me why I didn't finish my math minor gets an earful: Mathematical Logic - I have no idea how I passed this class, it still is the hardest thing that I have...

    ST:TNG packaging

Nice looking packaging! I saw the bulk of the seasons and plan to pick up the entire series gradually.... as mentioned earlier, this looks to be an expensive set that will take some time to obtain.

HTF REVIEW: "Roots" 25th Anniversary Edition

I plan to add this to my collection and have been anxiously awaiting its release. I was too young to watch this when it originally aired, but will jump into every aspect of this series once I get it. It's good to hear that Warner has done a fine job on this series!

AFI’s Top 100 Films List Forum Challenge (Part 3)

I haven't posted an update since at least January.... The Graduate out of Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft were both outstanding in this story. I still can't believe that this is the first time that I am seeing this film. The soundtrack was great as well.
