I have! Bought a pair of Ergo RCL 4 years ago, 1500$ from Germany including shipment. I know they are heavily overpriced in the U.S. and perhaps not considered to be "High End". I think they sound very good and the magic box that came with the RCL's can help fine tuning the sound depending on...
I use the AMP350 from Stryke with my AV12 and I can say that the amp is not running out of steam. B.T.W. the enclosure is 115L Fb17Hz with two 15"PR's. /Magnus
You are right Tony, alot of people seeks a "musical" sub for music and a slammin' one for HT, this must be the best of two worlds.
To bad I ordered the AV12:)

In the first link they state the peak excursion to be 3 inches, however their product catalog states 2 inches. The question is how much of this is linear?? /Magnus
BobH,I find it a bit strange that only the center channel have these dropouts. If the digital stream is fault in some way it should be a total dropout of sound in all channels not just one. The problem could be in the processor itself. //Magnus
Mark, yes the PR will sag heavilly because of the mass.
You could put the PR on the front and the active driver downwards (if the MacAudio driver is suitable for downfiring).
/Magnus
One could make a disc that have a diameter as big as the MDF disc and this way keep the mass as close to the center as possible (keep the offset distance to minimum),good idea Greg!
/Magnus
That PR doesn't seem to have any spider according to the picture, it's probably difficult to mass the PR without getting the leveling problem (is leveling the right word??).
The price is almost to good to be true for us europeans!

Bill,Pat mentioned something about an european dealership,is this idea still alive??
(I know you have a lot of other things to think about right now!!)

A very interesting thread I must say.
I have been thinking, a driver for a small sealed application looks very tempting, plus the low inductance with the XBL2 technology, but there is still need for some kind of EQ, LT or BFD to get good low end extension and in that case a BPD 1503 could be...
Wes, do you use a dimmer on your ropelight, if you do what kind of dimmer is it??
It looks like it's small regular lightbulbs so it should be an ordinary dimmer(for my ropelight that is!).
Thanks
Is it ok to use an ordinary dimmer with rope lighting or does it need to be a special one (it's 55Watts/230Volt)
I tried an ordinary one but it broke down after one hour!
Thanks in advance!

Ville, shipping an 1803 to Stockholm in Sweden is about 109$ with BaxGlobal, plus taxes(25% in Sweden) and a custom fee(4.5%). Shipping a 1203 would be the same.
Pat Morrissey(BPD) mentioned something about an UK dealership but this was still in a talking stage.
Good idea with a new topic Jack and Brian!Jack, could you please take some pictures of the driver and post them here(a kind of softporno for us DIY enthusiasts!)
The shipping cost, customs and taxes brings the total cost up to 450$, why do we europeans always get punished for living on the...
Simon!
I sent Link Removed in Germany an email some time ago regarding the Tempest and AVA250, the total cost incl. shipment to Sweden was 800DM(400£)
Maybe this would be cheaper than to order them from Adire.
