I bought E.R. season 1 blindly. I had never watched the show, but figured after it had made it to its tenth season and won countless emmys, that it probably wasn't too bad a series. Now I'm hooked on it and have watched all the reruns on TNT. Two episodes a day, five days a week lets you catch...
As someone who starting reading DC comics in the 60s it pissed me off when they decided to "hit the reset button" on the universe a couple of times in the 80s and 90s. Oops, this character never existed. Oops, that character still exists, but has a different alter ego and a different history. My...
I almost wish they'd skip broadcast and go straight to DVD. I just noticed my WB station has moved Angel from Sunday to Wednesday and I'm hoping I didn't miss any episodes!
As long as Best Buy is going to sell the "big new release of the week" cheaper than anyone else, I'll buy those from them. Anything else, I'll go looking for a better price online, usually finding it at Deep Discount.
Even with the release of the week, you can sometimes find it cheaper at...
Oh, all right. It wasn't an insignificant role. But Clark's parents are in pretty much every episode advising him on how to use his powers and how he must not reveal them, so I would still claim they play a bigger role than Buffy's parents. Anyway, it's nice to be able to have one of these...
Oh come on guys, if you describe the plots of any two fantasy shows where characters have "super" powers in abstract enough terms, you can make them sound alike. Smallville is NOT a Buffy rip-off. The Superboy saga precedes Buffy by about 50 years! Here are my top 10 reasons the shows are not...
Maybe it's not everybody's cup of tea, but I laugh so hard I hurt every time I see the scene in the coaches office talking about a lineup and sketch artists in the movie Porky's
I'm going to have to take a contrary position here. The hard plastic "pages" are easy to damage, like CD jewel boxes are. The corner of one page got broke off in shipping on my copy. The hubs are also flimsy and don't grip well, so one of my discs was rattling around loose in the case when I got...
They are not the same DVDs. The season box set has 6 discs with 3 or 4 episodes on each, while the 11 individual releases each had 2 episodes on the disc.
My season 5 set is on the way. Now, if they'd just hurry and replace my season 4 set, so I can watch them in order. The copy they sent me had 2 disc 5s and no disc 4! :frowning:
Oh come on! The cat in the wall scene was the most obviously fake scene in a movie full of fake scenes. I thought I was watching a Roadrunner cartoon for a second there! If animal lovers are going to get annoyed, they'd probably find the scene where the ugly little dog is obviously getting...
A director's cut is the only way I would even consider buying this film and even then I'd read a couple of reviews first. I'm a reasonably big Star Trek fan, but this one stunk to high heaven. My god, they used leftover sound effects that have been around since War of the Worlds in 1953, the...
After buying online for 3 years, I just lost an order for the first time. I ordered The History of Beavis and Butthead from half.com who I've never dealt with before. It "supposedly" shipped out late in September, but has never arrived. Since I've never used these guys before and the disc in...
The Best Buy stores generally have the best prices. Don't know if there's one in Boulder, but they recently opened one out in Broomfield just off 36 at Flatirons Crossing (think that's the name). Tower Records at Cherry Creek Mall has a good selection, but the prices are sometimes higher. Stay...
I'm not holding my breath on getting the original charges in April and May returned, but I've contested the August charge with my credit card company, cancelled my AU order and requested a refund, and preordered the set from Amazon.
When this thing first started, I just wanted the episodes...
