I wasn't given a reason but I did receive an email from my contact at Paramount which said All Republic Catalog titles are On Hold. This was in regards to their May slate. Not sure about the summer stuff.

The chapters are well placed and from what I can remember almost all perfectly placed before musical numbers. I was hitting 'next chapter' and it brought me pretty much to the next song. Perfect for those of us who want to skip certain songs in multiple viewings.

Colin, That's interesting. I'm guessing your dealing with a different PR firm then I am since I'm dealing with the Canadian branch but it's still interesting that you also got a FS copy. It's too bad because the soundmix is so good but I just can't bring myself to watch the film itself...

I've had a review copy for a couple days now and I just finished watching the documentary. Sadly my review copy was FS and the film looks terrible that way. The transfer is good and the sound mix is STELLAR. Review forthcoming if I decide to stick it to the Sony PR for sending me the FS...

The Canadian version is the Extreme Unrated Version. Just look at the back of the case and it says Extreme Unrated version of the film in the feature list.

Warner has this in Canada. Not sure if that will effect the DVD release up here.

No Clerks X in Canada till the 21st according to all the information I can find. As for Zatoichi. Seville has the rights to it in Canada.

Equinoxe Films is the Canadian theatrical distributor of the film. All their DVDs are handled by distributed through Warner Bros but retain the Equinoxe Film's logo.

The prints are subtitled and the original cut from China not the extended cut that was on the DVD.

Universal or the arthouse divison Focus picked up the US rights to this if I remember correctly. Should see a US release atleast on DVD but I believe I heard it would get a theatrical release as well.
