One thing I noticed is that on the shorter Etude in Black the episode does not have Mystery Movie opening like it does on the second season Blu-ray set I imported from Australia. Too bad Kino didn’t do it the same way.

I miss the artwork on Albums just as I do on LaserDiscs. It was neat to pull out the Album put it on, read the linear notes, display the cover etc. However I would never want to go back to the hiss and pops introduced by the medium itself.

My set just showed up. Very nice packaging and the artwork on the outside box is nice. I do recall that Falk was a drawer and had a number of drawings on his website. One was a really nice drawing he did of himself as Columbo. That would have made for interesting box art.

I’ve been watching it on t Tubi. This show is nothing like Barney Miller. It’s almost slapstick comedy with lots of sexual innuendo.

I suspect they will try and release base and pro chips at the same time so the don’t have a situation (again) where the base Mx is faster than Mx-1 but the Mx-1 Pro (& Max) is faster than the Mx. current gen.

I have an import of the Season 1 Blu-Ray from Australia which I will compare to Kinos Season 1.

I have the Columbo Series as individual DVD Seasons. I only meant differences between the original 70's run on DVD vs Blu.

I have the Shout release and I have the 4K from overseas. I am curious to see if there is a comparison between the two 4K versions.

This version is my favorite. Probably because I was living in Manhattan at the time it was made. It was quite an event.

I really liked the chemistry between Falk and Clive Revill in The Conspirators.

Randal and Klugman were both treasures. Saw them do the Sunshine Boys on Broadway and they were fantastic together. I also got to meet Klugman once - a very classy, cordial guy.

I am trying to find where I saw it but so far no luck. Maybe I am misremembering. The Quincy DVDs are good but after I saw The Odd Couple in hidef I didn’t hesitate to replace my DVDs of that. Would do the same with Quincy if it comes to pass.

I think Quincy is coming on Blu IIRC.
